Hmm weird air leak... normal?

I got down to about 150psi in my tank and I started getting weird leaks from my regulator and the preasure started climbing. It would stop for a few seconds after I fired. As soon as I filled up the tank, the leaking stopped totally. I assume this is normal when you get low on air? Could anyone confirm that?

ya thats normal, all it does is depressurize the reg and the air in the gun....
