I dont know what to do
I have a 98 custom but do not the the performance of it (not a great gun)
So im selling that in the need of a new
ever since i started paintball i thought it would be soooo cool
to have an electronic marker because it can do so many things
SO i had my eyes on an imagine and then i ws going to buy upgrades(then i wanted a diablo reincarnation 2, but soon to find out it is a waste and an imagine wit upgrades would be a better deal)

But know im thinking that if i only play at paintball places (fields) and i never once play out in local woods
an electronic marker would be a waste cuz i would never use these other features(burst, auto) except for semi- auto (because of the semi-auto rules at the places)
so wat should i do get an elctric imagine and like never use the features or buy a crappy semi-auto ($150 price range)
im proly goin wit the imagine because of the low price
but what kind of gun should i go with

please write back (I freakin typed for an hour lol)

thanks

Next time please make sure everything makes sense and is easier to read. It took me like forever to correct all that stuff in red.

Anyways, I would think that the Imagine would be great for you. Later on if you have more money, you could buy a T-board and other upgrades. Hope I helped.

If you're just playing at local fields for fun I'd say get something like M3 (Dragun Empire) Black Dragun compact. Or GameFace E-Rex (virtually the same gun). These markers just come with the semi-auto option but they're electric frames. You'd be able to get them for a lot cheaper than an imagine. However you might need to spend a lot more time on maintenance than you did with your M98.

Go with the Imagine. Even if you just use the semi-auto mode, it will be able to fire faster than a mech gun. The Imagine is much better than the Black Dragun or the E-Rex. Go with the Imagine.

Well, burst/full auto is useless anyways, since you won't have fun with it or get any better.

I would personally suggest a high-end mechanical over a low-end electro. The average cpa on electro boards (low end) is less than or equal to what a mech can pull.

Automag, Imagine, Trilogy (or used prostock) autococker, etc.

If you want to shoot faster than 13bps, get an Imagine with a T-board. It also has eyes.

That's so ***. Here in Canada we have to pay like 210 Canadian. Last I checked the ratio wasn't 2:1. You Americans get such awesome deals on paintball, I hope you know how lucky you are.

I'll take that "ha ha" as meaning. "Yes, yes we do know how lucky we are but we feel for you poor Canadians getting raped by paintball stores. I'm a jerk" j/k :p

What's "Canada"? You must mean "USA 2" or "Northern Wannabees".

I am a jerk.

Anyways, get the imagine. Electronic>mechanical, whether it has firing modes or not.

lol. You'd be pretty suprised to find out how few Canadians actually want to be Americans. Wait... what's that flag you guys put on your luggage when you travel? Oh ya it's a Canadian Maple Leaf!

Anyway I'm just playin' I like America, it's a cool place I just wish we got the same prices on things as you guys. And if we order stuff from there we get raped at the border. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

And ya, the imagine is a pretty cool gun too if you can get it for cheap.

to the topic of Electro or Mechanical:

Think of Mechanical as a jogger, and Electro as a car. The flaw in my logic is that no matter how much you jog, you won't get better at driving, so bear with me.

Mechanicals build skill and help you achieve more

Electros allow you to do what you want the fastest

If you are new, play mechanicals until you are good. Then get an electro to compete. Of my pbing friends, the ones that started with electros suck, and havent gotten better. The ones that got mechs, myself included, kick ***.

Having not read any of the prior posts except the first post and the one right before mine, (so as to not get angered by anything I deem uneducated) I'm going to make a suggestion.

In my opinion, going from one blowback to another is not an upgrade that is worth the money. Not only that, if you go from a Tippmann, which, to my knowledge, generally have a higher resale value than Spyders, to a Spyder, you are losing money. That is not exactly what I would consider a good thing.

If you move "onward" to "higher end" markers, you will probably pay more for a used marker than for a new "lower end" marker. But, they also have a higher resale value, and one would probably make out about the same if they didn't like it.

So far as higher end markers for $150, you may "get lucky" and find a cheap Autococker, or a cheap "Classic" .68 Mag. If you find a used post 2K Autococker in good shape, go for it.
