I too would like to welcome you to the wonderful world of Paintball. I (like everyone else) was once a newbie too, and I encourage you to post your questions here as well as the other forums.
I'd really like to stress the importantance of safety, not only for you but people around you as well. Paintball has been statically proven to be one of the safest sports providing a few precautions are followed along with good old common sence! The first being eye protection! Please, Don't spend all your money on buying an extremely expensive marker and then shop for the cheapest mask you can find. What is your sight worth? Paintball can be alot of fun, just as long as no one gets hurt!
I'd also like to encourage you to check out our reviews. www.pbreview.com Being new to the sport you might not be aware of the vast selection of product this sport includes. Read what other people like or dislike about hundreds of different products. I know first hand just how much these reviews helped me when I was just getting started. Again, Welcome and Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you have. Be safe and enjoy~KK

Remember one thing when you start playing.

You will see players with $1200.00 Angels and you may only have a $200.00 Spyder, Its not the marker that wins the game. It is the player pulling the trigger.

Don't let the players with all the matching gear and high priced markers intimidate you. They walk off the field with their arms up the same as everyone else who plays paintball.

I have seen players take out 4 or 5 player who have Angels and Shocker with a Piranha.
