How do you take the feed off?

I want to put a twister feed neck on but how do you take the stock one off? It's like impossible.

The feed neck can be removed by unscrewing it counter clockwise.

The best tools are the Craftsman "strap wrench' (or after market equlivent) and a hair dryer. warm the feed tube up with the hair dryer, then use the strap wrench to unscrew it like the cap from a jar.

Just wondering-- you are sure your gun is a later serial number so it HAS a removable feed Right?

BTW-- don't "wrench" the feed tube back in-- use loctite and just hand tighten. If you over tighten, you can distort the chamber and cause the feed to drag on the bolt.

my serial number is in the 10 thousands. Im pretty sure it's a new one.

And so when you put the new one on, you screw it in like to the end point bot don't tighten it, just put loctite on it?

Hand tighten it. That with a little loctite will kepp your feed neck secure.
