Would a 68/4500 PMI Pure Energy Carbon wrapped tank work with an unmodified 98 Custom?

98c are made to work off c02 or HPA outta the box, but in ur profile it says u have an expansion chamber, if u use air u should get a regulator

HPA will work on a marker with an expansion chamber. If you plan on switching exclusively to HPA then you should consider removing the Expansion chamber altogether or replace it with a regulator. The only problems that you might encounter is slight shootdown due to the Expansion chamber during rapid firing since you have an RT. That should be the only issue you may have to deal with when you switch to HPA.

the gun does not need an expansion chamber in order for you to use hpa... maybe it was a typo?

My point was that HPA will work even if he has the expansion chamber, not that an expansion chamber was needed or useful with HPA.
The reg will increase the consistancy of the marker. I wouldn't worry about it especially if you are planning to upgrade in a few months. Also with the Angel Speed you need a 450 psi set tank, and with the tippmann you need an 850 psi tank. So you can't use the same 68/4500 tank for both.

Thanks guys. I was planning on finding a tank that would work well with both the angel and the 98. Now that I know that that's not possible with a preset tank, I will bear the co2 :yuck: for a while longer and buy the angel and HPA together in a couple months in plenty of time for upcoming tourneys. One again, thanks for the advice! (no more posts are necessary)
