Hey guys, thinking I want to go LOWER pressure, not quite LOW pressure, but maybe like 400 psi or somewhat...I want to be able to use my AKA/LMP bolt on an otherwise near stock setup...I do have a spring kit to change...SO...

I USED to have a PMI Pure Energy Regulator when I first tried to go LP and I could NEVER get it to work below 400 psi AND 90% of the time it blue its o-rings and was a HUGE hastle. I never even played a game with it cause it broke during setup.

Anyways, I'd like to go LP to use my LP bolt and ALSO so when I go nitro I can get a preset N2 tank instead of one with a adjustable reg.

Any ideas? Want simplicity and reliability...

akalamp sidewinders are awesome regs, same with gladiators.

Maxflos are very nice. Gladiators sound good too, but I've never used one.

Are there any negative side effects of running, say...a Maxflow vertical reg with a preset N2 tank that has output of 850 psi?

OR, would I need an LP tank, like a N2 tank with preset output of 450 or so? it SAY's its an LP reg at this site:

http://www.countypaintball.com/product_description.asp?item=1861

but it doesn't say much else about it and I can't find it on any of my other sites.

Im not TOO concerned with price, only dependability and simplicity...I dont' want to have to rebuild the dern thing every time I play.

I'd ALSO like this to be a setup where I can switch between N2 and C02...and since C02 tank output is around 900 or more psi, I need a reg that can handle input pressure of that much...

any reg can handle the pressure of a co2 tank (closer to 750-800)

and LP reg is referring (sp?) to the OUTput pressure not what it takes in . . . max flows are great regs very consistent, you'll love it. same with a sidewinder though . . .

i don't about this reg with nitro, but palmer's stabilizer's are very nice regs with co2.

If you are going to run 400 and you want REALLY consistant pressures, use a Maxflow with HP springs. Handles from around 400-750.

sounds good...maxflos look real nice.

I will have to get a turbo valve again right? and get stiffer springs for my valve spring and bolt spring?

or you could just get a new marker . . .

trust me on this one, you will thank yourself in the long run.

my idea is to get the spyder working at a MILDLY low pressure on a reg and buy the N2 stuff...

THEN, later, buy a better gun, put the N2 stuff on the better gun and run the spyder on c02 at the MILDLY low pressure...

Who knows. I know that I dont' always get to play in nice weather, and I want to NOT be shooting like I was the other day.

Hey there. I'd say go with what the kid said about just buying a new gun. I understand what your trying to do and stuff but from what I hear, if your gonna go and buy all the stuff for a TL then take it all off and sell just the gun, no ones gonna pay a lot for it. And even if you do put a ton of stuff on it, no one really wants a electro TL plus or wahtever. I was in the same situation with my Compact Deluxe (spyder) and I had plans to get it all tricked out (eLCD, reg, etc. etc.) but then when you really think about it, why put over 500 bucks in a 100 dollar gun? Some guns are only capable of so much. You cant make a TL as good as an angel even if you put the 1000 dollars into it that an angel costs. What im trying to say is, maybe its just worth getting a new gun like a stock cocker and building off of that which gives you much higher performance in every aspect. But dont take my word for it.
