Alright, first off, I'm gonna say it right now, no pump is more accurate that a good semi. Not to say a semi is more accurate, the range and accuracy is the same. The whole "One shot one kill thing" with pumps get kinda misinterpreted. It's not because the gun is so accurate (and it isnt, for the last time), it's because the person using it is. When you've got a pump, you cant afford to waste shots, so in that sense, it makes you a better player than us electro toting paint dispensers. But the question is, have any of you ever felt bad about nailing someone with a pump? A couple weeks ago, I had nailed a guy with a phantom pump, in 4 consecutive games, and it just felt weird. Like one time, I bunkered him because he was on the tape and I wanted to flank the field. When I realised he had a pump, it kinda made my move "not so great" in my books. Not that there's anything wrong with using pumps, for all I know, that guy could have been 10 times better than me, and because of his pump playing, give him an electro and he'd probably whoop me. But that day, he had a pump and he was gettin nailed by me alot. The reason it felt bad, is because a stock class gun against an electro... well it isnt fair. Plain and simple, I've got over 14 times the rate of fire he does, so in a head to head fight, I've got such a big advantage. He was such a cool guy, and he wasnt feelin mad at me afterwards or anything, but I still felt sorta crappy. Kinda like how you'd feel if you got into a boxing match and beat the crap out of an old person. Sure he's probably got experience over you, but you've got a big physical advantage over him. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

By the way, no disrespect was ever intended towards pump players in this post. Like I said, they could be ten times better than me, and I'd be the first to admit it, but because of the advantage in firepower, it just doesnt seem fair to me. It takes alot of skill to even want to go up against semi players with a pump, and I really didnt mean this as any way to put them down, or trivialize that.

I felt bad one time when a friend of mine and me bunkered a guy and my friend ambushed him and I provided cover. My friend shot him and he was out. I felt bad because if he had had a semi, we'd be out. He had a good spot on us and could see us perfectly, he had to get closer though for fear of us opening fire on him, we didn't notice him until he was right close, we got him and we both knew that if he had had a semi we would have been lit up easily. This guy kept getting shot game after game because he had to get close to shoot.

I DIDNT feel bad after I whooped My friend and his Brass Eagle Blade with my Spyder TL plus. The reason for this is because he kept nagging no how we would whoope me ;)

Surely enough old Batman himself has been there and done that. If you all remember that one post about that newbie I wrote, you will know that I realy felt bad after that game, it was fairly early on in the game, I saw him not even thinking about that hes a newbie and straight up use my best tactics on him and lit him up like a Christmas tree.

elTwitcho, I would have felt bad if he was a 10 year old with a talon. But if he is at least 14 and had a higher end pump I wouldn't. I own a semi and was thinking of getting a SL 68 II. Just to give it a try. I always wanted to try a pump. Let me know what you think.

yeah same here. IF he was a 10 year old, i woulda felt bad, but he was 14. Also, he wasn't a newbie. If it was, i really woulda felt bad. But it was his decision to play SC vs. electro, and fully understood the risks..and that you had the advantage..so there's nothing to feel bad about.

Flippin the topic around, heres a quote I found in an old issue of Paintball Action Magazine . "Ya it just didn't seem fair, just sittin there waiting for that poor kid just to walk between my crosshairs. Runnin and divin like a madman, and spraying paint everywhere, and then "SPLAT" right in the mask. That poor lil newbie and his spyder just didn't stand a chance against my phantom." hehe, just thought it was a wierd twist of the "Semi vs. Pump" theory.

haha, i just bought a pump "just for the feel" also, there just kinda for fun. Or if your running low on paint say like 60 rounds. Well with a pump thatll last ya a while, but unless youve got a hell of a lot more will power than me with 60 rounds in a semi- youd be dead :)
