Allrighty than. Well you all should kno what the tippmann (more paciflcly the 98c.) trigger pull feels like. Its Harder to pull back than a Spyders'. Well i like the Spyders' trigger pull alot but, i lov the tippmann MUCH more... and i wuz wondering is there is leik a upgrade that can make the triggerpull shorter or lighter.
I hav done the Pen spring mod and it didn't do what i wanted. Thanks in advance!

ive always found the trigger to be easier than a spyders. to make the pull shorter, just take out the trigger spring all together. then you can do other mods like trigger stops.

It's going to be harder to pull the trigger because of the response trigger. The sear spring is heavier.

theres a site like tippmannmods.com or something you can go to and look up all kinds of stuff.
I did a mod for myself where i put two layers of thin heatshrink on two pins, one was the top pin of the trigger and I cant remember the other, Im not at home right now so I'll repost when I do, like in an hour, I'll send a pic with it. Its really worth it, Its rock solid and if ur lucky you can manage a bounce or two, not good for some ppl but when you think of it, a tippy w/ a bounce...nice.

well, well, well. if you wanna go into pacifics sir then to make the pull lighter you can take out the trigger spring but some people dont like the speed of just the sear returning the trigger (tried it on somones 98 and i hated it) you can always install trigger stops to make the pull shorter by taking the slack out of it. and to make the pull on the sear lighter you can do.... dare i say it, the ortho rubberband mod! *GASP*(if you do end up doing that be sure to replace the rubber bands CONSTANTLY) and i would reccomend to you that you visit www.model98.net . its a great site and it has all the stuff your looking for on 98customs. i would check out the "how to tune the response trigger" page because dirty dawg said you have the response trigger. good luck ;)

www.model98.net <= Thats the one I was thinking of, thnx A-5 user.
Anyhow here it goes...
1. Since you already did the pen spring mod your good to go on how light the trigger pull is.
I'd suggest just staying with the stock sear spring, I've messed with different ones for mine but they've all managed to go wrong.
2. Here's the fun part. Put two layers of fairly thin shrink wrap on the two pins marked by red in the pic. You'll have to trim the wrap because the pins still have to go into both halves of the receiver. This will eliminate all slack and make it many times easier to walk the trigger. The one drawback is that it makes the safety harder to push in/out, but its still functional.
Troubleshoot: If the sear fails to catch, try filing down the top of the shrink wrap on the bolt that the sear rests on. Any other problems you'll have to tinker around with.
Good luck with the mod and let me know how it works. A little disclaimer tho, if it doesn't work I can't help you there. I don't have an r/t but I'm sure it won't be a factor in this mod. Id did everything i stated above on mine and its freakin sweet, I can really unload if i need to and i got a bounce once, but I'm not positive I might've just bumped it and not felt it.(I was wearing gloves)

To much egg nog, eh johnny.
98c trigger pull is 4lb i believe. A stock spyder has a 250 gram switch. tell me which one is lighter.
