I recently bought a spyder on ebay cheaply as a loaner gun.
one reason I bought it is b/c it had a j&j ceramic barrel.

It is one of the grey colored ones. I think that is the old style.

However, I noticed that it did not have an oring. it did not even seem to have a groove milled for an oring. I tried putting a spare PMI barrel oring on it, but it did not seem like a good fit.

Finally, here is the question : Is there even supposed to be an O-ring with the older spyder threaded J&J's or is it just a metal to metal seal?

I know it seams like a dumb question, but I checked for similar threads, and even did a search with no results. I could not seem to find close up pics of the back of older barrel online. so I will delete the thread after I get a coupla intelligent replies.
