Ok I bought a M98 Custom. Now there is just some question I need anwsers to. The one I bought came with a Vertical adapter. (This is part of an X-Chamber that it came with right?)

Now in one other for I read that the x-chambers have a tendancy to get extremely cold to the point you can't hang onto them when you are playing in cold weather with CO2. The stuff is all sealed with loctite so is there any way I can take it of to play in cold weather or does the loctite make it permanent?

Another question I have is are the Flatlines worth it? I asked how much they cost at Paintball Madness and the guy started telling me all of this stuff about when he tried it out. He said it gave him an extra 10 foot range but it wasn't accurate and in that extra 10 feet it loses its momentum to the point wear you can catch the balls in the air and they have lost enough speed that they wont break when they hit anyway.

Now my third question is about oiling my Tippmann. Do I just oil all the O-Rings when I open it up?

My forth question... What is the advantage to rear cocking? I see a bunch of threads that say rear cocking is better but why?

Anyway I might have a few more questions I can't think of right now but if you could anwser these question I would really apreciate it!

OK, I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability.
For your first question, I don't know a thing about cold weather- I live in Phoenix.
For #2: I have the flatline, and I love it. It works extremely well for me, but I make sure that it is completely centered and in the adapter the whole way. I suggest you go to a field and test fire at least two different ones- Some people can't install it right and/or they have a bad barrel, then decide from there.
And #3: No, oil the front and rear bolts, the bolt arm, spring, and I lightly oil my finger tip and rub the area where the trigger and front sight move. Also oil the power tube extrusion that the front bolt slides on.
Number 4: Rear cocking is a preference and it helps keep your internals free of dirt by covering the slot where the cocking nob sticks out.

Hope this helps.

i live in Canada and its cold now and my x-chamber doesnt get so cold that i cant hold it, theres nothing wrong with it, if it does get cold cover it with a cloth or something. the x-chamber helps u in cold weather... so ur internals dont freeze up

flatlines are deafently worth it. i bought one last year and it work so nice for me. They tend to break paint some. It was clear that it could shoot further that other guns or markers.

Are you willing to sacrifice your accuracy for that extra distance you recieve with the flatline?

Well, I think It all comes down to the fact that if you shoot something with a flatline it wont break. I go to a feild that is longer than most speedball feilds, long enough that you generally cant shoot from the back of one end and hit the other end. Some kids had flatlines there some day and this kid shoots from one back bunker to another 10-20 times and they all bounced off the bunker! Dont get a flatline there is a limit to most shots in paintball of about 100 feet. A flatline isnt going to help it's just going to cost you money a break paint.

Okay guys this is my older thread and I am surprised people are posting in it. Now I have a J&J Preformance 2 piece. I might still check out the Flatline but I got what I need for now. Anyways I still do have a few problems and if you read about them in my thread "Some help please!" and respond I would really like the help. Thanks anyways!
