Is a shim kit a good idea to achieve desired velocity?
or should i do work on the spring?
i am running an input pressure of 500 and it is only shooting in the 260's i would like to get it in the 280's or 90's
maybe i should leave it be but thats what you guys are here for.:jester:

Yes.
The spring kit is much cheaper, and has much more tuning capabilities.

Yep, because it includes valve springs as well.

Try lubbing everything well, and lowering the pressure. Many of us run the TES at 250-300 PSI and are well into the 280-300fps range.
Also a better paint to barrel match works wonders.
