any and every gun can break paint, the angel is no exception.

Venom's post just about sums it up.

What about the Ice Epic? The only breaks can be through barrel paint and that stuff.

The Epic will also break paint.

The angel will not break paint that often, it runs at about 350psi which is a good thing, if u do break though, the bolt is easily cleaned in a couple of seconds

How can the Epic chop!? It has no bolt! Also the trap door moves at such a low pressure that it is virtually impossible for it to break a ball.

but if the ball has a weak spot on it then it will break

cockers(most), impulses and buishies run lower than that stock and can all chop paint . . . i dont know about you guys, but i have seen alot of angel owners spend alot of their time on the field with a squigee in their barrel or dry fire and shooting at the ground to clean their barrels . . . but then again i have seen some go through a day with out alot of breaks . . .

if you have a correctly setup angel and a good loader, the only breaks you will ever have will be barrel breaks, and with a good paint to barrel match that wont happen

i shot 5 cases of advantage shell paint through my angel this summer in hot humid conditions, and i didnt break a single ball

Well the hard reality of buying or owning a paintball marker is that it will eventually break paint. Simply because every paintball is shaped different no matter how much money you spend on a case of paint 500 rds or whatever you buy. The paint that breaks is usually the paintball that someone missed on the assembley line in a factory. So you will eventually get a break from a thin shell or weak spot in a paintball. Just something that we have to get over.

epics dont shop at all. Even if the ball had a soft spot the trap door doesnt have enough force to pop a ball

Yeah, but if you have deformed paintballs, or dirt/sand in the breach or hopper you can get breaks. It may not be the marker at all, but nothing is infallible.

It will break paint if its set up incorrectally...........

Now , if you set up the ROF , dwell , and general tuning , then match paint to barrel , you'll VERY rarely chop paint........... I use 32* seconds in my angel , and have broken 1 ball , and that was because i was testing how low my dwell could go before i broke paint.

Do Birds Fly?

Every gun breaks 1 paintball sooner-or later. Whether it was user error or not every gun will have at least one ball break in its lifetime.
