I was looking at PB nation earlier today and came across a post about a guy wanting to know what some good decent, but cheap paint would be. One guy responded saying that Walmart sells relabled marbs under "RPS Super Swirls", and they went for about $16 for 500, is this true or is he on something?

And while on the subject of affordable paint, can anyone give tell me what a reasonable paint would be to buy for rec play? My field has a policy that they only allow paint bought there, or at their sister field, or the store that they own in town. Plus they never really do any kind of checking so I just show up with paint like marbs or whatever that I found off the net for cheaper than they sell it for, however if somebody knows of something that would work better, I'm all ears!

Hell no! the super swirl shells are super hard, and hardly ever break when hitting opponents! These paintballs have just about been banned from our field! I would rather get bunkered then get shot by these paintballs from a distance.

hmm shot mine at stuff and they broke on EVRYTHING cept inside m barrel. they broke n a tree about 100 feet away with low velocity

shot a chair 4 feet away and it broke, the special ting about that is, evryother paint i use busts a hole in it

ok look closely at the super swirl color as a ball and when they break to the color of a marb. marbs are way brighter neon green and the super is more of a dull yellow greenish.

the swirls at my wallmart have this whiteish color on them and i'm sure thats not suppose to be there. There like 2 years old and some of them dont have any paint in em. and be balls suck.. lol!

the only difference i believe is the fill, it is less thick in the superswirls, which i like better anyway cause then it doesnt stain

Super Swirls work well for my autococker, no breaks in my barrel yet.

they use the same shells buta different fill and they are delicate i checked my paint/bore match and used my barrel like a blowgun and ended up having the ball pretty much explode when it hit my dresser instaed of just bounce off like i expected

Not true, if Marbs and Super Swirl used the same shell they would be identical in almost every way if both cases of paint were the same age. The gelatin sheets used to make paintballs are made of different qualities, thats why some paint is better than others.

Five and a half year old thread? :eyes: Not the best way to bump up your post count. Deleted.
