Just got back about 2 hours ago, so heres the story:
I just got my Matrix back from Dye a few days ago. I decided to bust it out today after reffing to play a few matches. Well, I pull it out of my gear bag and I hear "Is that a tippmann?". I should have known what kind of day it would be.
I'd been watching this one guy play all day, so I figured out his playing style. He goes 50 dorito on break every match. 3-2-1 go, low and behold, he runs toward 50 dorito. I lay down a lane towards the dorito and pick him off. One of my teamates bonus balls the hell out of the guy. I take off into the snake after that. I see a guy hanging out the back. I start shooting. I knock the guy down. I mean I knock him the **** down on the ground. My teamates take out the last few people, match ends.
Immediately after the match, everyone starts yelling at me because "I'm using full auto." I was accused of more than 10 people of shooting full auto. Well, I hold down the trigger and show them I'm shooting semi. My Matrix doesn't ramp, bounce, go full auto, etc. One pull, one shot. The people playing refused to play again if I played. I gladly reffed until the end of the day.
Most of the noobs leave so me and my teamates run some matches. We did a 2 on 2, me and my fellow mid player Mikey vs Kahuna and another guy. I tell Kahuna before the match he better not go snake. Match starts, me and Mikey lane opposite sides of the field then bump up. Kahuna makes a run for the snake after we bump, both of our guns turn on him. He slides in, immediately stands up covered in paint. Mikey bunkers the other guy, game over.
Matrix shoots darts, our team is awesome, sponsorship is great. How could it get better.
