Hey guys. Well I got a Dye ultralite. I put it on my gun and It will not shoot. Yes the Co2 is in, yes everything is assembled. All bolts and everything are placed where they are suppose to be. Heres what is happening. I put the co2 in like always. Then cock the bolt back, fire, and the bolt will not reset. Then I pull it back, is still won't reset. So after further testing, I found the front bolt is too big for the barrel(too thick to fit into the barrel). So i contacted tippmann and they said, sometimes dye's get cut wrong, and they accidently make the "bore" size alittle too small.
So I am left with two options. Get a smaller aluminum front bolt- My friend has one in his 98, and it shot perfect with my ultralite barrel.
Or
Send the barrel back and try a new.
I just need some advice on what to do.

send it back and get a J&J Ceramic. same performance and self cleans for a fraction of the price. if u dont want to get rid of it then try to get a new one.

I don't think so. IMO the Ultralite is better than the J&J ceramic. Accuracy, and distance. Today I chopped a ball in my friends ceramic, and after 10 shots, I gave up on the self-cleaning. I would go the extra 50 or 60 bucks any day. Plus I prefer 2 peice barrels.
But I will keep that in mind to try and get the new barrel. Do you think I should contact DYE precision about it? Or the company I got the barrel from? thanks

company u got the barrel from. and it isnt called a chop when a ball breaks in the barrel. that is a break. a chop is when you cut the ball in half when it is half way in the chamber when the bolt hits it. that j&J must have been a bad one because they are wonderful.

Um. Ok. Thanks for the information, I will be sure to remember that. It may have been a bad one, the J&J, but yet, the Ultralite is a bad one too right? haha...
l8ter, take it easy.
