For all you Spyder owners. My Brother and I have just bought new Spyders: A Shutter and a TL PLUS.

A new barrel should be the first upgrade on almost any paintball gun. It dramatically increases accuracy and usually reduces noise. I don't really know which barrel you should get for your Spyder but I hear that Smart Parts All American barrels work well with Spyders.

I have a 16" boomstick. It's super accurate and very quite. Though it's kinda pricey, it's definitely worth the money.

you will see the biggest difference in your game w/ a new barrel.

A new barrel is key for a Spyder, sence the stock barrel is beyond bad. Lapco Bigshot or J&J Ceramic should do you fine.

I would saythe best barell would be the jnj ceramic or the dye boomstick, but only get the boomstick if your willing to spend 150$ on a barell which has the same quality as a 50$ jnj ceramic

how much of a difference will a new bolt make?

Only reason why I got a new bolt is for the high flowing properties for low pressure. A bolt wont' matter too much in the gun's performance. IT might have minimal improvements, but other than that...not much.

A barrel is definetly the first move. With my TL+, my first upgrade was a Smart Parts All American barrel which I recomend.

Barrel is the best upgrade, improves distance and acuracy. most markers come with crap for stock barrels like the tippmann ect. so i would always upgrade a barrel first. I have a piranha pro and it is close to similarity to a spyder and i would recomend a Smart Parts All American 12" barrel. I personly think 14" is too long but i don't want to start a barrel length argument. personally i think it is a preference. But a 20" barrel is just plain wrong.

Get a Lapco BigShot(medium bore) or Lapco Autospirit(small bore)... There the same barrel except different bore sizes.

Barrel will always make your gun shoot the paint better.
if you shoot big ball paint I'd go for the autospirit, I just got an auto spirit because the big shot was out of stock and i love it with my big ball.
Guesswho?

I say get a barrel! For any spyder you need a new barrel right off the get-go!
