I wholeheartedly agree! If you want a better gun, don't just get a better spyder.

So, like Rob said, look for a used trix, timmy, angel or you possibly just go with a cocker if you're willing to tinker with it. Because cockers require a lot of tinkering.

Don't shop on Ebay, I've seen mech cockers go for $500 when the same gun can go for $250 on the trading forums...

Since you said you were new get an Impulse or...gulp B2k. Those are good beginner guns that are alot better than your spyder.
