The other day when i went paintballing I noticed that my hopper was totally loose on my gun and I could spin my hopper around enough that the loading cap could face the other way. I tried fixing it by tightening the bolts at home with a screwdriver and I ended up stabbing my thumb with the screwdriver. Then I noticed there was a half inch gap where the top bolt is supposed to go but when i looked at the bottom bolt it was totally closed and screwed together. I really dont know what it's called but its the plastic thing you put on your gun that connects to the hopper. Should I get new screws and bolts or a whole new gun to hopper connecter?

Plastice thing that connects your gun o the hopper = elbow.

Do you have vertical feed or power feed(slanted)?

Well, either way, you could try to widen your hopper's feedneck by wrapping electric or duct tape around it until it fits snuggly into the elbow or feed. Oh, and you usually don't need any extra connectors at all if you have a vertical feed.

Don't use ducttape, it will swell with water and be near impossible to get off without damaging your marker. I suggest electrical tape or the plastic spacers they make. I don't know who makes them, but my cocker had one.

So why would he be getting water on the duct tape? Unless maybe he takes his gun in the bathtub with him:P

Well the oil from a paintball wont make the tape swell, i had to ghetto rig a hopper with duct tape before. I got hit in the feedneck later that day, and the paint did not make it swell up.

It's a vertical feed hopper. All thats wrong is that the top bolt wont tighten the top part of the elbow up but the bottom is screwed together. Do you think i need a new elbow or a new screw and bolt?

Uhh, a plastic feedneck on a vert feed? Or a clamping threaded feedneck?

if it's a plastic elbow, just get a whole new one. They cost like 5$...

Yeah, it's a plastic elbow with a vertical feed. I have a Spyder TL-X and it came with it when I got it and as soon as I got it, it was loose so i just tightened it so the hopper couldn't come out and it used to be screwed together tightly. Now there is just a huge gap that i cant screw together.

And you people are on a role posting about bringing up "dead" threads, while not adding anything. Congrats, you just took up more bandwith and wasted my time!

Find some type of a tape, or, use some o-rings.
