Alright. I have bought a Dye Ultralie Barrel for my 98 Custom.
1. It will screw into my gun great. IT fits fine. The threads are correct.
2. I can drop a paintball through it without the paintball getting stuck.
3. When I have co2 screwed into the gun....I cock back the bolt like you are suppose to, fire, but the bolt will NOT reset.
4. After further testing I find out that the front bolt of My 98 custom is actually getting stuck in the barrel! It happened to my friends barrel also.
5. What is really bazzar is that my other friend, with an aluminum front bolt, The barrel will actually work fine with his gun.
Question: So what can I do to fix the problem? It isn't my gun. So should I just send it back to the company I ordered it from? Or can I do something to fix it now?
It just looks like that they made the bore size alittle too small where the barrel is threaded, causing the bolt to get stuck in it. Is this true? Thanks

It's seeming as if, the barrel before the threads is too long. I would send it back to Dye. Make contact with them and ask how to get it to them. They will most likely test it and give you another one...

Oil your bolt's o ring and make sure from now on it's oiled.

It's oiled. Thats one of the first things that I checked. According to what I've seen....Shouldn't the front bolt beable to enter the barrel? I still just think the barrel isn't wide enough where it screws into your gun....
Thanks for the responses!

i don't think your bolt should be entering your barrel. try screwing in different barrels in to your gun you might just have a defective barrel (happen to me before).

Alright. Well I just put my stock barrel on and yes the bolt does go into the barrel. On my friends, who also has a 98 custom, his front bolt goes into the barrel too. So I guess it is defective, just my luck! lol thanks for responses guys

Yes, email or call Dye Inc.

There might be something wrong with the metal piece attached to the bolt. I would completely disassemble and clean the gun, then test it out some more.
