View Full Version : Illegal Apparal?
Someone told me that the following are not tourney legal:
Dye C5 pants
Dye C4 jerseys
They said that both had too much padding. If this is true, then the JT Tournament pants would also be illegal. The reason I posted this is because I was going to get the C5 line of clothes.
But I would have to get the C4 pants instead but everything else could be C5...
Is this true because I want to join my friends team?

well, I guess it depends on the tournament then. I know that Dye jerseys have lots of pading in the shoulders and stuff...

Hmm, this has already been discussed...
Dye clothing was banned by the NPPL. Untill Dye turned into there "Golden Sponser". So no, Dye clothing is NOT illegal.

The padding isn't worth sh*t. Trust me. I have the C4 jersey and it's about 1mm thick maybe on mine. Perhaps they beef it up to 2-3cm or more thicker on their sponsored teams' jerseys? Like just cut open the jersey, add some foam in there... I wouldn't put it past Dye or any player out there.
And the C4 pants have padding too.

I know the c4 jerseys count as 2 layers of clothing in the nppl, so you cant where anything under them

C5 pants are not illegal, but C4 jerseys are because of the built in padding which the NPPL deemed to be more for bounces then protection.
What about the C5 jerseys and the Proto Jerseys? They both have padding...
