I havent upgraded the barrel on my TES yet either (ran outta cash for ups already) but when I do, I plan on going with the J&J barrel. Couple of my friends have them on theirs, and they swear by them. so far, havent seen them get any breaks using them, and both of them are pretty fast on the trigger

is the CP 2 piece any better than a CP 1 piece, and is it worth the extra $15

Try getting a 32 degrees whisper barrel. It is alot more accurate than the stock barrel and a little bit more silent. plus its only like 40 bucks.:D

what he said but add on the empire kit (cheaper)
i wouldn't recommend the 32* whisper, not worth the money
short story long...
considering most people rate their own parts with high ratings the whisper has a 8.3 with 120 reviews
and the j&j ceramic is 9.2 with 511 reviews and is $15 less

except for the fact that it has large porting and little flecks of paint will get stuck into each and every one of them.
Also it is not slef cleaning, the teflon just makes it able to clean in less squeegee pulls and also be able to shoot through barrel breaks with some hint of precision.
finally they are accurate but the p[orting is in a rifled pattern (though it is not actual rifling) it could affect the paintball very little. Rifling is a very good idea for real guns but when it comes to firing liquid filled balls, stick with straight.
So I would suggest:
CP 1 piece - it has great accuracy, is very customizable when bought, somewhat quiet, and is renown for its dependability
JJ Ceramic - very smooth bore, very accurate, very easy to clean, plus it is very quiet (also has excellent reviews from this site)
Teardrop - Yes it is still a very good barrel for its price range regardless of what I said in the first few paragraphs.
Progressive - like the teardrop but a little cheaper, a little more efficient, a little less accurate (more prone to bad muzzle breaks)

ok, but that still doesnt answer my question.........
the tes stock barrel is close to 11 inches...give or take. going up to a 14 inch (when I get around to it) is gonna make me need to do some work for my velocity? and would working the springs be a more efficient way to do it?
oh, and just for the record, I was planning to stay with the stock for a while, but thanks ;) hehehe I gotta learn to shoot one of these things before I start worrying about how accurate it is, or isnt. (gawd winter sucks here! I cant practice!) hpa I "should" be getting late Feb, early March (unemployment SUCKS for large purchases like That....) but a buddy of mine has a spare 68/3k that he'll loan me for when we hit the field.
I didnt know the teardrop was ceramic lined!?!? hmmmm....I'd been thinking about the J&J full tilt for my barrel upgrade....whats the comparison, any idea?
625paintball625- I didnt mean to hijack your thread....but, it is informative for both of us.....

changing the barrel length doesnt effect velocity that much epcially going for a 11" to a 14", least nothing that turning the velocity up cant fix

you will definitely be able to work out any velocity problems by adjusting the thumb velocity adjuster. you will probably have a 5 fps decrease if anything at all, if you havent read already, 12-14" is the optimum barrel size, it shouldn't put any excess friction on the barrel, an 11" barrel actually wont get the paintball up to the maximum velocity for your pressure setting, only close. Thus a 14" lets your paintball go up to maximum velocity wihtout any extra. Though, get a barrel with porting a the end:
A barrel with no porting - 10"
a barrel with porting - 12 or 14"
