I think about buying a Nerve or a Shocker and have following question:
Does anyone know the efficiency with good paint/barrel mach for the following tanks:
4500 psi 45 cu inch?
4500 psi 68 cu inch?
Will appreciate any constructive input.
Also about the Shocker with new bolt efficiency.

Thanx Beat

I'm getting around 850-875 shots from a Nerve/45-4500 setup with a sorta loose-ish ball/barrel fit(SP Freak .689 insert/X-Ball Gold podium series). Seems like alot to me, but thats what it gets. I've read of worse efficiency in the reviews tho. The Shocker I've heard(today where I work at a proshop)that the Shocker with the std bolt(typical upgrades: HE bolt, trigger, feed neck) will get around 500-550 shots with a 45-4500. The DM4,5s are also known for being big gas hogs, by the way.

After 7 cases its been flawless. 282, 280, 281, 281, 279...is typical string at 200psi. Same as for the Shocker, grease it often.

Even if u dont think thats good enough new designz sure enough made a bolt for it here is the description

"This Bolt Raises your velocity just by dropping it in. What this means to you is that you can decrease your pressure and get more air efficency. Yet another great product by New Designz "

you can get this bolt at

http://www.punisherspb.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=NDZ-NRVEQBLT and there u have it my friend

according to new designz, you gain 10-15fps with thier bolt. i don't know what that translates into shots per fill, but obviously there's an advantage.

Q: What kind of efficiency can I expect from the Nerve?
A: The Nerve gets average efficiency rates of around 1100-1200 or more shots from a 68/4500 HPA tank. Efficiency can be increased with soem of the NDZ upgrades but not by too much.
