I have been thinking about buying the Spyder Compact 2000 cause I am a tight wad when it comes to spending money. Is there anything I should know about this gun..like the bad..the good? Also what would be the best barrel for the money for this gun??
Thanks Chris

I'd go with a Lapco Bigshot.

As for the compact, it sux. ALL spyders freeze up and when you live in mOntana this is unacceptable since we rarely play in temps above 60. It chops balls. A good thing is that with an expansion chamber it will never freeze. I played in 15 degree weather , but it still chops balls. The cocking knob flew off during a game and that was after I had to tighten it with a screwdriver. it is a cool looking gun but lacks performance. The JJ ceramic is also no good. It whips paintballs around like a drunk bird. You can't even predict where they are going to go. Every which way. The stock barrel is no good so get something made of metal might be the only choice. Definetely get an expansion chamber if you insist on buying this but for 20 bucks more go to bargainpaintball.com and get a Tippmann Model 98 that never freezes and always works AND is not as tempermental as spyders. Although this might seem all negative , it is not. I enjoyes playing with the compact with an expansion chamber and it is pretty cool. the barrel could have been better and the cocking knob fixed. go for a model 98
