Yes, get your gun chronographed... I highly doubt you even own a Piranha, as users usually would go in search of help, rather than trash their own guns. If you don't get your gun chronographed, you may be shooting at a really low velocity, thus having balls drop after 22ft... Another reason why I doubt you own a Piranha is because of your claim of trying "20 different balls." I have yet to hear of any field that carries over 20 different paintballs...

I am pretty sure he owns a piranha. He has posted here before about his gun.
Now to your problem. Do you oil your gun after each use. If not that is your problem right there. Or if it has been sitting for a while after you oiled it, say a month, then it will need oiling before you play. The kind of oil also makes a difference. Make sure you are using paintball oil. PMI perfect is the best that I have found. I have only used one other kind though. If that isnt it then check your o-rings. If you have a reg make sure you have the psi set high enough. Another thing is your filters might be clogged. Take off your asa and blow through it the opposite way the gas comes from. Thats all that I can think of. If none of it works then call PMI and they will help you fix it.

Yeh I would just go ahead and take those filters off out of your VA if you havent already. Like hsuve stated get a hold of a chronograph and that should help you.

what filters are you talkin about?

The filters are in your vertical asa. You should be able to see them if you take off your asa and your ram air lp chamber. You will have to take off your forgrip as well. Then you need to get a small nail and break them out. Or you can use a drill. Then you have to be sure you get every little piece out of the asa otherwise the pieces of the filters can cause problems with your gun.

i wouldn't think that your 20in barrel is helping your velocity problem either.

Yeah I never thought about that but a 20in barrel is just a waste. A 12in is just as accurate and needs about half the gas to push it out the barrel. All your barrel is doing is creating drag which slows down the paint. Because of that you have to turn your velocity way up. Use your stock barrel and your velocity will be higher. You might want to think about getting a 12" or 14" barrel. Im sure you could sell your 20" to some guy who thinks longer is better.

yea i understand about the 20in., but the gun still sucks even with the stock barrel on it, i put the 20. on my friends spyder and it was sweet

could you guys tell me some more about those filters?, like what it would do if i took them out? , and is it really necessary?, and how do i go about removing these filters?

Those brass filters in your VA are just there make sure dirt doesnt enter your internals or any kind of particles. To take these out you can use a drill, but I just used a screw driver and a hammer. Just put the screw driver on the edges of the each filter and hit it with the hammer and eventually you'll get it. Once your done taking them out use a blow dryer to and blow out all the brass in your VA. You will get much better air flow. Another step to getting better air flow is to drill the whole beneath where the 2 o-rings are located on your VA. Just enlarge it by drilling it with 3 bits and you should end with 3/16ths bit.

just take out the brass filters your not destroying anything unless you dont know how to use a hammer and a screw driver :|
IF you dont want to drill your VA theres always a AKA VA which is about 50 bucks and its basically drilled for you and very high flowing :P
