Obviously, I'm a newbie One is an assault concept + sniper concept+ is a M203 M16 Concept, and One is an HP5 Navy Concept. Would these work?? / Be cool?? :D :D :D

I think that you'd find most serious paintball players could care less about military looking paintball markers. Most will tell you, "Go play airsoft."

I don't like thinking that a paintball marker could resemble a real gun.

Why do people want paintball markers to look like real guns? Real guns kill - do they want to kill people within their own twisted imagination?

I totally agree, that is what gives paintball a bad rap. Be careful with those pictures.

No more of that, please! If little kids get hold of thoses pictures and show there parnets. The kids parnets will spread bad messages about paintball to all the other parnets. Kind-of like how E-bola speards every where.

Hey guys, thanks for the input! To tell you the truth, I'm really very surprised in all of your responses. I myself am a gun enthusiast, and understand that paintball is a game, but isn't it also utilized a military combat simulation?, albeit, not necessarily to the public. Do you really think that I would freak Moms out if I showed up as a walk-on w/ a ghillie suit and a Tippman that looks similar to an Heckler and Koch MP5? All I'm saying is.....to all its a game, but to the individuals interpretation of that game. I'm fond of a the combat simulation concept....then again, maybe I should join the Army? I just think these look cool, thats all that they are designed to be/do.

Trust us mate this is the general opinion of the whole pbreview forum. The only ones that will like "real" looking paintball markers will be those who must be either imature or army wannabes.
If you enjoy the combat simulation, i suggest you look at airsoft instead of paintball, cos paintball is going away from "weekend warriors" and is now getting into the proper-sport zone with the invention of Sup'air, and hyperball etc. If you do go to Airsoft there is a wide selection of guns that look like their deadly counterparts. Or even better if you want to go round killing people join the army, knock yourself out! Get shot in the head! :D

They're has been countless discussions and polls on this subject. And non-military looking markers have won the argument or its trailed off onto summin else.
Though there is a small majority of people who do like military looking paintball markers, they dont usually go in for the tournament scene. Which is the part of paintball we want to promote to the wider public. Which means that more people play paintball and all the prices come down - see its for the good of everyone that we dont have military looking guns.

All in all you need to look at both sides of the spectrum. I myself am an avid marksmen, and I know my firearms very well, BUT...and thats a big but...I also know that there are people out there who can't stand anything that resembles a firearm. These are the people that have the strong oppinions and are not afraid to voice them. Also as much as I like to play big games and stuff like that. I also like to play tournament style ball. In the end If you want to portray a positive image for the sport you have to look at everyones oppinions and how these people are going to effect our sport. There will always be a slight resemblance to fire arms in paintball markers, but I think it has greatly advanced the sport by trying to stray from the conventional look of a fire arm by adding color and milling. That is the difference between a sport and military simulations. I like all styles of paintball, but I would rather play my senario games with a multi-colored clown marker then have a realistic look-alike marker and not be able to play at all because of the rap my marker gave. Is it really that essential that your marker look like a real gun or do you just want to play at all? I myself wouldn't care, but others do so I respect that, and that is what will make our sport grow and grow. Respecting others.

I agree with c4pyro, but if someone is so sensitive to guns then why are they even in a sport where you shoot at other people, its like people saying stuff about a book or a certain CD, if you wouldnt have picked up the book or CD then you wouldnt know what it says in it, so if you dont like guns, then why are you even bothering to play paintball, its not the fact that a bullet is metal and paintballs are not, and if you think thats what seperates real guns from paintball guns then you are stupid, the line between real guns and paintball "markers" is the fact that the other person at the end of the barrel isnt getting killed, so why would the look of a gun scare or mentaly scar anyone??? if you have faught in a war and have seen people die then i can understand but to just sit there and say "dont post realistic looking guns" to sound important, if you have a reason then fine, leave the forum and dont look at the "realistic looking guns". Sorry if i offended anyone, but this is my opinion.

I totally agree w/ both Spyder_Ryder and c4pyro....and yup, I got the barrel ,M203 foregrip, and Flash Hider from the master on the forum, thats kinda what gave me ideas for the others, which I assembled from Online Paintball / Airsoft / Firearm ads.

See thats another thing, I think its cool that psirus7 made these pics, and someome comeing in here and saying crap about it kinda ruins it for him, because he has a talent and with people sitting there and typing bad stuff he kinda loses his motivation to do stuff like that.
Do you think you could do stuff like that with Spyder Bodies?
ciaran.mooney

Yeah you've got some good talent there.
Why dont you do a paintball collage!

But another thing, why should we have to justify or defend our guns, they are just objects and they are belongings, and if someone wants a military looking gun thats what they will have whether we like it or not. just let paintball be what it is a game and a sport.

I have seen spyders transformed into very relistic looking mp5's and stuff like that. They looked very cool. They used airsoft gun parts and attached them to the outside of the paintball marker. If thats what your into they were very cool looking. I can't remember the site but if I can find it again I will post it.

I just wanted to add that in some states realistic paintball markers arne't allowed on public property and plus, most paintball fields don't allow look-a-likes. I myself own a M-60 look-a-like made form a rain maker but I only use it for big senario games and stuff like that because they don't allow look-a-likes at all the fields in my city

The green thing on the end of the stock is EagleIndustries Military Surplus M-16 Flashbang Pouch, would be a great Pod Holder.
Here you go Spyder_Ryder...these are a little sloppy compaired to the Tippmans. ( made very quickly! ) One is based on a Heckler and Koch Personal Defense Weapon ( HKPDW ), And the other is based on a Silenced ( Poor Man's Paintball PVC Silencer ) Knight's SPOMOD M-16...lemme know what you think, and thanks for the support! :)

Yeah thats the site I was looking for. I use to have it bookmarked, but I can't it. Thanks for putting it up. And if you wanna see so really nice looking markers that are of this nature, go in the custom markers picture thread. There is a guy named viper who has 4-5 custom build markers of what we have been talking about. He did a very nice job on them.

uh, three fingered, there are no M14's posted, at least i dont think so, i think your confused. The M14 is the select fire version of the M1 garand, characterized by its wooden handguard, stock, floating barrel, and guide rod. The M4 is the carbine version of the M16A2, you know the gun with the parkerized black finish, the gun made famous in vietnam.
