I just got a Rebel Vertical last week. I am basically new to Paintball since it has been 8 years when I last played it. Before I even shot my gun the first time I went otu and bought a 12" Nyte Stikk barrel, and and ACI Sub-Zero chamber with a Macroline kit. I also picked up a duckbill.

Anyway, my wife had picked me up a 5 gallon bucket of paintballs from a place called "Galyans". It's some new sports store out here in Utah. They have paintballs labeled under their own name. This morning I put my gun together and grabbed around 35 balls and put them in the hopper and went out to shoot them. The gun feels nice, but I was having problems with firing. About 3 times while I was shooting, the gun shot double balls, then to top it off a ball got chopped entering the chamber to be fired. Some of the balls will roll right out mf my barrell while others will fit perfectly. So far I am not too overly impressed with my gun.

Could it be the paintballs causing me the problems?Should I just use these balls for practice and go buy new ones to play games with? Or is my gun a piece of crap??

Has anyone else had their gun do this with certain paintballs?

it could be that you have **** paint.

also, your ball detent could be bad. its the thing that holds the balls in, so they don't double fire.

and oil your gun. if you don't it WILL break. use gold cup or similar oil. i have no problems with mine because before i play i grease the sear with dow 33 lithium grease and put 5 or 6 drops of oil in the hole in the duckbill and screw my tank in and shoot 30 shots without my barrel or paint. then i put my barrel on and load the hopper and i'm good for the day.

at night after the game. i oil the valve (about 4 drops) oil the venturi on the bolt (about 4 drops) and put 2 drops of oil in the duckbill.

remember do not overoil (like 10 or more drops in theduckbill) because then you'll mess up your gun. and u won't be able to play til it cleans out.

hope this helps and no your gun ain't a p.o.s.

that would be a spyder compact;)
