...

There is no difference in accuracy by gun. Accuracy is effected by paint-to-barrel match and many other things, but that is a main one.

you have a good gun witha freak. id bet you have darn good accuracy because i have a J&J edge kit and ND internals and most of the time if i take my time and really try to hit something i can shoot a wall and then shoot the same paint slatter over and over again. its mostly paint to barrel match and how comfortable you are with the gun. you might pick up a dm4 and it may feel a whole lot more comforatable in your hands than your impy. same with other high end guns. you may snap shoot better with gun A than gun B. most high ned guns with good barrels are very accurate, but which gun you choose is all preference.

Jester... the only part of accuracy that the gun controls is how consistant the velocity is.

Meaning if gun A is within +/- 3 fps then with the same barrel and paint it will be more accurate than with gun B that shoots at +/- 10 fps.

Open/Closed bolt DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is misinformed.

here's the major factors...
-Good barrel
-good paint
-good paint/barrel fit
-consistant velocity.

Actually, aslong as the barrel is glossy and slick on the inside, every single barrel will be just as accurate with a paint match...

I 95% agree with you. It is possible to have a shiny/smooth barrel that is "uneven" through out the bore so that it has different bore sizing all through it. But this is not a problem with any of the larger manufacturers.

also... 95% of all quality aftermarket barrels (and some stock ones) will have the same performance levels.

TPD, your link doesn't work.

Thats what I mean. You wont tell the diff between an ultralite and a CP barrel as far as slickness goes. Palmer brass barrels are more slick and nice than most barrels, and I can see a noticable accuracy difference shooting one, but they're very heavy being brass.
