hey,
i bought my impulse a weekago, and today i was tryin to dry fire cuz i just love it. well, i learned that when it is not gassed up but turned out, as i pull the trigger, sometimes i hear a click and sometimes a very quiet click of da microswitch moving. i dont hear the solenoid clicking sometimes. well, i gassed it up, and that problem was gone, it was firing every time. but, as i fired rapid strings of shots...i was listenin to the gun and some shots seemed like more gas came out than others, so basically the velocity may be inconsistent. im not sure what the problem is, never opened the solenoid or anything. i dont t hink its dirty cuz i just bought it and never took it out for a day of paintball yet. wats going on?

correct me if i am wrong guys, but the click means your solinoid is working fine, and when you dry fire, some shots will have more gas than others because of bolt stick.

you said that you dry fired it when it wasn't gassed up? I don't think that that is called dry firing. Just trying to clarify.

dry firing is when you don't have a ball or anything in the chamber, just air. sometimes the bolt will stick and it'll make this noise like it's coughing or something, when you're not dry firing it won't do that. don't know why. just dosen't.

the marker doesn't have any back-pressure, thats why it may stick. The ball in the chamber creates resistance for the air.

I GOT MY FREAK FACTORY IMPULSE ON FRIDAY AND IT IS AMAZING. I have to run up to the headquarters and have them check the vision board because it is shorting out on me. This gun is so unbelievably fast. I got beer as the color and it is so sweet. Outside the warehouse it changed colors to a burnt orange. I like it even more. The gun hasn't been out of my sight for 4 days.

I meant to type that if you get the Tapeworm you wont have the prob of the bolt sticking forward. It is like $20 and takes two mins to install. It is worth the money

or you can just move your bolt around when it's not gassed up. like before your turn your air on or something, move your bolt back and forth a little. if you do that you won't stick on your first shot. it's like when the bolt sits still for awhile, it's starts to stick and thats why the first few shots can be duds. just give it a little wiggle before your first shot.

aite i think u guyz got misunderstood...my bad its not the most clear question. heres whats going on.

-I dont gas up my gun, but i turn my gun on, and pull the trigger several times
-Sometimes it makes a louder click(the solenoid opening) but sometime i only hear a very small click. Recently it has only been clicking quietly.
-i thought that it may be something with pressure on the solenoid, so i gas up my gun
-the reg is at 150 and my gun is still on
-i pull the trigger and i only hear the very slight click, and i dont think the solenoid is opening.

so wats goin on? i hope that helped

your grip may be a little out of alignment. by that I mean that the trigger and microswitch aren't quite "in sync."

hmm not yet. maybe i'll try that...but i dont know how it'll help. i opened up my gun, the trigger frame was fine. the microswitch is fine...the light is still blinking everytime i pull the trigger, and i got the solenoid to work. now it just seems like everything is working fine, except the gas isnt getting to the solenoid.
