Right Now i am running an Impulse stock with a 20 oz. CO2 with an remote. I need advice on how to adjust my Dewell settings for running CO2.

the dwell is set from the factory, i havent messed with mine. you adjust it on the side of the impulse in a hole. If you have a newer model, it will be behind a strip of protective rubber on the side. You adjust the velocity by turning the cap on your max-flow regulator.

In the Maxflow Reg. infront of that is a big black thingy that you could adjust is that the PSI adjuster??

Yea i got the rubber piece that is covering the Dewell settings. What tool you use to adjust it???

Is 180psi and 280fps good?? does it save air
I got a 20oz. tank.

I know this is old but i didnt want to crowd the forums with when i could juut use an old one dealing wiht my question. OK i turn my cap till the gauge reads 180 psi. I lock that to where it wont turn.........then i adjust my velocity with my dwell to around 270-280. Thanks

a little bitty screw driver. one of the precision ones, i used a no. 1 flat, i think that's the size. but-read your owners manual before screwing around with the dwell! it's best inbetween 1 and 2 o'clock.

the dwell is not set when it comes from the factory, they have it set to generally what it should be aroung 1 o-clock.

Dwell settings vary from Imp to Imp because of lots of reasons(pressure, just differences in the little dwell pots themselves) So to make this as simple as possible. Ideally your Imp runs best with the input psi @ 180. The dwell pot needs to be set based solely on where the chrono is reading 280 fps. So saying "just set it at 1 or 2 o'clock" doesn't really cut it. (read the first sentence) A chrono is truly the best way to be assured your Imp is working most efficiently. Tomorrow topic "What if I don't have a chrono!"

Class is dismissed!

I had the same problem, but when i adjusted my dwell to what it should be at with a HPA it shot and he bolt would cock back very slow and let out a lot of air and when i went more clockwise it didn't shoot it just poped kinda i had no i dea how to fix it so i brought it to the pro shop and they told me they are prolly gonna have to send it back to smart parts which really sucks for me! Does anyone know what was goin on with it?

Thanks
