I just recently installed a cp trigger on my strange impulse. I was wondering if i am the only one that has a big pull before it activates the microswitch. I set it the set screw so that the micro switch would be set off as soon as possible. I like the trigger but is there any way i can get the trigger to fire sooner or is that impossible? It seem like i can shoot faster with the stock magnetic trigger even though i installed the magnet on the roller. I haven shot it with air yet but by looking at the led i can tell it is a little slower. Do you shoot faster when the air is hooked up or something? do you guys tell a difference in speed wise between the 2 triggers? Help me out if u have any tips or tricks to make the trigger set of the microswitch sooner. Thanx!

No, CP's, since they don't have an independant screw to adjust the micro switch, and since the micro swithc is mounted on the board (meaning the board can bend over time), some people have longer trigger pull's with their roller triggers.

The only way you can really shortent your trigger pull is to drill another hole and tap it in the rear of the trigger.

Did you set the other trigger adjustments yet?

yes i set the trigger set screw so that it was flush with the trigger this allowed the shortest time to activate the microswitch. I also installed the magnet the way i liked the trigger to be but this would not affect when it would shoot. How do u have ur trigger set did u put the extra set screw on the top of the trigger?

Thanx

No, i just don't use it :P ... too much work to drill another hole when there are so many other triggers out there that will work just fine for little $$$

I have a CP Roller trigger, and it's awesome. I felt the trigger pull was a bit long before setting off the microswitch, so this is what I did:

1) Cut a small rectangle of clear plastic...like the kind you find on action figure packages. It should be no larger than the microswitch...approximately 3mm x 6mm.

2) Put a small drop of crazyglue using a toothpick on the top of your trigger, where it meets the microswitch.

3) Using tweezers, apply the 3mm x 6mm sheet of plastic to the glue on top of the microswitch.

Let it dry and test.

You have now effectively shortened your trigger pull by 1/2mm. You can continue to laminate sheets of plastic until you have the trigger pull distance you like.

The above technique isn't really hard to do...it took more time thinking about it than actually doing it.

Currently my trigger pull is 1.5mm, great for walking.

Don't forget to glue a foam or rubber pad behind the trigger set screw so you don't scratch your grip frame.

Hope this helps...

Well, i guess that is easier than drilling another hole... i guess :P

I just used the same technique for a friend's Impulse. This time, I used 3 strips of masking tape. Even easier then gluing sheet plastic, and it works just as well; so long as you align the microswitch with the top of the trigger.

Yeah, that's what my friend did to his stock trigger, just not with the same material. We also cut down his spring, making his trigger fairly light. We could both hit the cap on his board with it. He also just bought a cp roller, but i guess he got lucky, because It shoots less than 1/2 of a mouseclick through the trigger pull.
