I was wondering what kind of gun I shoudl get next. I like speed play and I wanna get a pretty good gun, but nothing that's crazy expensive. I've been playing for a year and I have a 98 Custom. Any suggestions?

Like $500-$700, but that is for everything, new hopper, tanks, etc.

Buy a new gun, and used Hopper and Tank. You will save yourself loads of money, or if you feel comfortable buy a used gun as well. When I was new in the sport, I didn't want anything used (how stupid) now my entire setup was bought used, except for my Hopper. Anyhow, you said you've been playing for a year, so you obviously aren't new to the sport so you should know were the hot places are for used deals, and whats a good price, and bad price, so I suggest to search PBN, and eBay, those two places are great for getting a new (to you) tourney setup.

I got my A4 for $515.

I'd say get a used Speed or A4, LP tank, and halo.

:agree:

My preference would be an eggy to save money towards a good regulator, like the sidewinder or stabilizer.

i would get maybe a T.E.S get a new,reg new hoses, new barrell, and cradle, then get compressed air and an evo 2. the T.E.S. is definently fast enough if you have had a tippman 98. now that's good that you parents did that (made you keep that tippy). my friend has played for 5 months and has a dynasty shocker!!! he's a noob too. he doesn't know a thing about his marker. (i had to explain to him what vision is)

Buy used.
Im currently in the same situation as you, i have a 98c and am on the verge of buying a new gun, which will probably be a DM3.

My suggestion, buy used, browse the B/S/T forums frequently looking for good deals, but remember if its to good to be true it probably is. 3rd party is a good idea as well.

For $700 i'd suggest something like a used DM3, 2k2 Timmy or possibly an ebladed cocker, add a 68/4500 crossfire and a haloB.

Check out the new 05 BKO's, they come stock with PDS. Get that, Halo B, Crossfire 68/4500, and CP one piece, and you'll be set.

Or you could look for a used mag.
