Can you just screw the palmer regulator into the air hose fitting on the 98C reciever and then attach the air hose? Or is it more complicated than that?

If you get a male, you'll need to install the vert adapter, then screw the air line into the reg and screw the reg into the adapter.

If you get a female, you'll have to bolt it to your grip, then screw the air line into it.

if you get the female, do you need to buy anything to mount it, or can you just bolt it straight into the grip? if you have a pic, can you post it? thanks

You'll need either a mounting block or ring mount for a female Stabilizer. For more information go to www.palmer-pursuit.com.
The female will be less in the end than the male, given that you don't need to have a vertical adapter to use it.

For the male Stabilizer, you'll need to install a vertical adapter (if you haven't already done so). Then, you can screw the Stab into the vertical adapter just like you would a tank or expansion chamber, etc. You will then need to attach your airline to the Stabilizer. Use teflon tape for sealing and screw your gas line into the stabilizer, the input hole has a 90 degree elbow already installed. Once your airline are all set up, gas up the gun, and follow the instructions for the Stabilizer on the www.palmer-pursuit.com page.

For the female, you'll need to remove your old tank adapter. Then attach the mounting block/bracket to the bottom of the frame/drop forward cradle. Install our gasline into the Stab just as you would with any other fitting, and slide the Stab into the bracket and lock it down. The Stabilizer now functions as your tank adapter as well as a regulator. Again, follow the instructions for use and setup of the regulator at www.palmer-pursuit.com
