Ok, I am looking to buy a good paintball gun for about $200. I want one that gets a good amount of shots with a 12 gra m co2 cartrige, and has a good high velocity. I want a semi-automatic gun. And one that can field strip pretty easily. I was looking at the Avalon GT Commando 2. And I really want it, I just know that i will have to get something to make it not chop balls, and that it is hard to field strip, but if i learn how to field strip it well, I will buy it. I would just like you to tell me a gun, that might be better for me. Thank you for your time. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks again.

sorry to say, but a semi won't go with a 12 gram. You gotta go for a big tank, well not big, but a CA tank, like a 9 oz or 20 oz. Go for one of hte Spyders or Pirahnas. THey are very upgradable, easy to maintain, and are reliable. They are also very easy to field strip. They really have good potential. Just look at some of the spyders out there. Hsuve, Damn Fool, and a few other people have really tricked out spyders/pirahnas out there. That means that the gun can grow with your playing skill. As you get better, you can modify the gun to suit your need better. Bottomline, is that you get whatever you like, but i'm reccomending the Spyder Tl Plus or the Pirahna STS G2.

Ya, buying a sts or a tl off http://www.paintballgear.com leaves u with enough money to buy whatever co2 tank u want. I had a piranha pro, and I could field strip it, clean it, and put it back together in no more than a 30 seconds easy. The push pin makes it a snap.

Yeah, u can upgrade spyders as u go along. Theyre cool becsue u can customize. Since u wanted to use 12 gram cartridges, im asuming u wanted a smaller proifle gun. So u could buy a spyder compact and get a 9 ounce bottle. The co2 bottle would serve as a foregrip, so ur gun would be low profile. And, then, u can customize that gun and upgrade as u go along. The gun is lik 85, and the tank 15, so u could buy urslef a mask, etc to play with, and some paintballs to shoot, because rememebr, what goods is a gun withought ammo?

hey i've got a spyder compact java 2 in 1 edition. it's great. i put on a new spring set, expansionchamber, barrel's in the mail and i just put on my sticky grip today. it's nice and smally you (hence the name compact). and it has a field strip pin on it also so you don't need to fumble around w/ any screws or carry around an alan key. and i can get probly over 800 shots off my 16 oz stubby tank, sounds like a pretty good match. (the stubby tank is good if you're going for the compact look) and it has slick red anodizing, very sharp.

Yeah, You cant get a semi with a 12 gram except the PT extreme and PT enforcer. Its realy hard for someone to tell you exactly about the gun hadles ect. Id personely go with a Pirahna or Spyderbut thats just me. If you can I suggest that you try out a few guns you want. Trying them out helped me come to my choice of the Spyder TL+.

A pirahna, PMI PE Regulator and a new barrel and you'd be havin some good times, but the STS is good, i like it better than a TL+, i've seen the differances, I used to own a spyder

Its crazy to even try and use 12 grams. They'd push out about 10 shots on my gun and they are known to hurt your gun. I would highly reccomend getting a 16 oz mini.

i second that reccomendation for the 16 oz tank, i have a 15 and a 16, the 16 feels like its 1/2 the size

Yeah and you have to think about performance too. The 16 oz minis are lighter then the 9 oz in my beliefs.

16's are heavy! They are a lot heavier then my 14, which is heavier then my 9.

As for the gun, get either a TL Plus, or a STS. I would go for the STS, as it is better stock ( Opinion. ), and costs a little less. With the extra money you save, get a larger tank.

Buy a Spyder Compact 2000 and upgrade it. I found it more fun to watch your gun grow.

my 20 oz co2 tank filled seems heavier then an empt 16 ounce tank. It might now be, but it sure as hell feel like it when i hold the too of them up. The 16 is really compact thpough, great when u have a drop forward becasue u can make ur self so compact with that tank

Yeah, definatly go w/ a spyder or a pirahna you will be amazed on how far you can take your gun( meaning upgrades) you wont be dissapointed.

Go wit the 16 oz. They are light and easily shoot 650 rounds.

i have a 20 oz. and a bottom line. The bottom line wobbles with the big tank. I think it is too heavy. Is that it? Would a 16 oz. not make it wobble.

hmm maybe it was some1 else, i know a 16 will be lighter, but i'm not sure if it'll be light enought to stop the wiggle, i'd get one anyways

if your tank wobbles, check the screws, your adapter and your gripframe
