ok everyone here is it,
I am going to buy a new marker. I would really appreciate it everyone would help me with my decision. I have a budget of $250. I would like a marker that can be used with HPA and CO2 both, and that is ready to use both right out of the box. I don't know if you have to buy a certain type to use HPA or not. But, anywho just give me some advice on markers that are good, bad, and ugly. (not realy) any way hope to hear lots of advice from everyone. you private message me, email me or just reply to this forum. thanks alot
hope to hear from you all soon

For 250 you could get a nice used Cocker or Classic Automag/Minimag. If you're going new, I'd get a nice electronic Spyder.

If you're going to use co2 with a mech 'cocker be sure to a/s it. Otherwise an Imagine with some ups wouldn't be bad, or possibly a TES.

ok so far everyone has said that an autococker or an eletro-marker. so what is so great about an autococker? and an electro-gun? so far i have been doing a little homework and so far i think that i will go with an electro-gun. but i have seen pirrana, spyder, and moongoose all look pretty nice. but still not sure and haven't made up my mind.

Pirhanas or Spyders are good. Stay away from Mongooses.
Or is it mongeese?

an electronic blowback would be a good choice for you. IMO a spyder imagine would give you the best bang for your buck.
look around http://www.pbgear.com for other ideas

I believe that it's www.dragunempire.com
Honestly their guns aren't very good and have quality control issues. I actually may be doing a "Super-spyder" to save money for other things (like a car). After hours of research, here goes...
Spyder E-99 Avant (I like rear-cocking and the drop forward)
T-board (www.scenariodreams.com)
ACP Slasher trigger (www.acp-products.com)
Barrel (J&J Ceramic is a good one)
Regulator (Bob long torp, CP grip reg)
^ The initial stuff
Over time or if you really want to mess with it the gun:
New valve (New designz HP is a good one)
Spring kit (a given, 32* is a good one)
Lighter bolt (aka more CPS, lower pressure, ect)

If I were you I'd look in to getting a 2k2 shocker.
Pros:
- Very quiet
- Run well on co2
- Accurate (consistent, even with co2)
- Can usually be found for very cheap (Around $200 or less on the forums, and that's usually with a good barrel/set)
- Decently quick (the 2k2's will hit up to around 10-12bps)
- Unique
- Very little kick
Cons:
- Kinda bulky/weighty
- Little aftermarket support
- Many moving parts
Neutral:
- Closed bolt (can be good or bad depending on your personal tastes)
Of all the guns I've owned, one of my favorites was my old 2k2 shocker, I wish I still had it :)

Are you thinking of the Impulse maybe? Shockers are more than that, even used old ones, from what I've seen. Used autocockers would also be a good choice as long as you don't need to shoot very fast.

No, old sports and 4x4's have gone for less than $200. If you want a gun you can upgrade as you go along I'd say used cocker, as long as you maintain it.

Shoebox, Rainmaker, used mech Cocker, or a good Spyder.

I looked at em on Ebay though and saw them for $400, but Ebay is overpriced

ok i have finall narrowed it down between two guns
the pirrahna evo or an electro spyder. i did also have a dragun T.E.S. in thier also but i a little to pricy for my budget so if anyone has evo or an pretty nice spyder let me know what you think. which is better in your opion. thanks alot
hope to hear from you all

There are spyder vs. evo threads. IMO, Spyder.
Spyder Imagine. No substitutes.

I'd say EVO. An eye is a grand thing to have, and their eye's work very well. I've owned both and I liked both of them, but with the evo you have the security of the eyes.

EVO quality control and parts quality beats anything kingman.
Hell ANYTHING made in the USA (PMI) beats anything made in Taiwan (Kingman).
