My friend just got an impulse and on the side r two buttons and one of the buttons is dwell up and the toehr is dwell down

Yes. Are you asking what the dwell is? If so the Dwell is simply the amount of time that the gun valve remains open. The Dwell is controlled by the amount of air sent to the hammer through the solenoid valve. The buttons allow you to set the dwell time.

I suggest you read the FAQ in the Impulse forum. If I move it there, that is exactly what they will tell you to do.

The marker works descently set from the factory and around 6-7 is were most markers work the best at, but go read the stickies on setting the dwell.
