You had to use turpintine to clean the paint off you, your clothes, and anything you touched.

You thought that using more than 15 rounds per game was a waste.

You thought that anything but shop goggles as protection was just plain stupid looking.

You laughed at the guy wearing a jersey on the field and called him a newbie.

You having to autotrigger was the closest thing to semi.

You did not place batteries on your list of equipment.

You thought 5bps was really really fast.

You had to remove the grip of your paintball gun to change your 12g.

You know what a 12g is without refering to it as "that thing I used with my pellet rifle".

You remember that the only aftermarket equipment you owned was stuff you made yourself.

You were playing paintball before most of the people posting in this thread were:

1) Born
2) Eating solid foods
3) Out of diapers
4) You remember when hyperball was starting out and all there was only woods.
5) The nelspot and splatmaster pumps were your first markers.
6) You remember when Smart Parts was a decent company and just starting out. *spit*

Most of the people on this forum were born in the 90's lol. I'm nowhere near old school, but I respect the old school guys. I just wish I had started earlier in life.

your closed bolt gun shoots further and more accurately than everyone else's open bolt gun.

when wiping meant that you had a runny nose (thats the clean version! :D)

I havent been in the sport long enough to truly be considered old school, but I do agree, I wish I'd started this sooner. a lot sooner.

I remember all of those.....

Knowing the original purpose of what a paintball marker was for....because you were there....

You know what the "Survival Game" is...and remember playing it....

Remember when BE was Top shelf...and owned one proudly....

You and your friends are personally responsible for most of the laws made governing paintball today.... you're welcome :badboy:

Mailboxes were ok to shoot at...

Your marker was awesome if only every other shot rolled out the barrel....

CO2 was the greatest and only option...

Expansion chambers were great performance upgrades....

You could get red filled paintballs....

I feel old.....:(

Yes, I still have BE Nightmare Competition Long Barrel. It even still works!

Oh, and I ran across a company that's releasing red fill paintballs, but I forget where I saw that, sorry.

Here's one for the list:

The police raid your game because someone reported a group of soldiers killing each other in the woods. (almost happened once, the cops were good about it though).

That still happens, I get calls all the time of a group of kids with guns shooting each other. Its either airsoft or paintball.

Age means nothing in paintball.

I've been bunkered by a 12 year old who played on a D 3 team. Then I've bunkered 40 year olds who play on D 3 teams. Etc.

You know what PGP stands for because you had one when they were top of the line.

You used California Magnum paintballs and thought it was a deal when you got them for about 10 cents per ball.

It did NOT wash out of clothing.

You watched "Gotcha" and "TAG" movies when they were new.

You ever drove to National Paintball Supply NJ when it was on Route 45 and not much more than a house with a big garage.

(I've done the above and consider myself old school, but trying to keep with the current times.)

You still use a pump because they've never made anything quite as good or reliable.

(that's my excuse anyhow)

That reminds me of a story about my cousin. He was riding his bike one day, then a car goes by, and he hears what he thought was a gun going off. He then felt a stinging pain in his butt which called him to fall off his bike. He put his hand to where the pain was, and he was startled to find a red liquid on his hand, and he got really scared because he thought he got shot in the bum with a real gun, but later, to his relief, found it was only a paintball with red fill.

And you know you're oldschool if you ask kids why they have giant feed tubes strapped around their waists.

I remember another one from a similar list:

When someone says they're out of paint you throw them a 10rnd tube.
