proto stuff is high quality.
my 04 proto pants are identical to my 03 dye hybrid pants. Not the best in the world but better than most.

the ultralite blows all other barrels away anyways, so go with that if you can afford it

the way you said that its sounds like
DYE OWNED PROTO
or dye is 100 times better
dye owns proto as in they are one company

this is true and im pretty sure thats wat he meant. but i realize that it is hard to clarify on the net so i propose this.
i know this has proably been done before but ill say it anyway cuz it could help with some clarification issues. lets make a rule that says if you want to say that one product is infinitley better than the other lets say than say that X pwns Y.
and if you want to say, for instance, that one company is a subdivision of another, you would say that company X owns company Y.
now i know im proably gonna get flamed to death for this post. but please try to hear me out, i know some people are sticklers about grammar and such and scream bloody murder every time they see the word pwns in a sentence but my point is this, out here on the internet we lose many of our auxilary communication devices that we have in normal everyday conversation. devices such as facial expression and tone of voice allow us to easily differentiate between "dye owns proto" and "dye pwns proto" in an everyday setting. but on the internet its just faceless words, no expressions or subtle voice changes to give us clues to the real meaning of the sentence. and, as we all know, the english language has many words with double meanings, and even on the internet these are usually very easy to spot just by using context clues. however in the case of owns the sentence can easily have two meanings.
so i propose that we make it an unwritten semi-rule that we use "pwns" when we are trying to say that something is better than something else and "owns" when we are saying that something physically owns something else. this would greatly decrease the number of misinterpretations and needless arguments that spring up from this simple word and its two meanings. any takers?
