View Full Version : Whats bad about a nerve?

Okay I know these guns are relatively new and I know the last two guns smartparts has made have needed upgrades. Such as the impulse (which I own) and well the only thing the shocker needed was an HE bolt. Anyway I have heard some bad things about nerves but wanted to find out if they were true. I figured where else to get information then from the nerve owners themselves.

Wait a little while before you buy one. I got mine and it was all messed up. I sent it abck and its workign flawlessly now with some new upgrades that they put in for free.

Its a new gun it has a lot of bugs. Wait a while or find someone who is good with them. talk to Jed.

I saw a new bolt for it at www.ratpb.com (its made my New Designs) also I saw a slick shot ram for it to (also made by new designs).

Yes there are a few upgrades for them actaully.

A new bolt
Silk Shot
LPR gauge
SS maniflold
Black plate

Do you prefer you shocker over a nerve? Also I heard about alot of cool upgrades for the shocker, so of then you all already know but i will state them any way

HE bolt
Custom triggers
Clamping Feednecks
Vertical adpater with gauge
And What I believe Is Probably The Coolest, The Nerve Board

WOW, What is ur setup (other than the ovbious: Nerve, empire realoader b, stiffi, dye throttel tank) Also isnt a crossfire tank better than a dye?

Where do you work? I only make about $400+ monthly plus I get free paint at my park so im good for now.

Well lets keep this thread on topic. Out of the two guys here that have the nerve waht was bad about it stock?
Aslo Shocker kid in ur sig it has a picture of ur nerve and ur octane, which do yu like better?

Its a great gun all it was ready to play outta the box
after i got home I tuned it and now shes even faster no chops after tuning.

Yeah thats savings money. Infact its mostly gone paid for school "EMS" car repair "Camaro z28".

Octane is better IMO. BTW my nerve is long gone..

You guys are confusing me, i was really thinking of getting the nerve, and now people don't like it. Should i get the ION and save more money over the nerve, i also have noticed that not many people have the nerve there is already more threads on the ION. Whats wrong with the nerve it looks good to me or does it have a lot of problems.

This is a yes and a no. Because some tourneys are actually allowing the use of ramping and full auto boards. So from that perspective it isnt a "cheater board". But as a whole I agree with you on the issue of one should have a gun and play with it where one pull = one shot.

you should probably also go and look at all of the reviews on the site for any marker youre thinking about getting because they may be very helpful in your decision
