I played paintball for the first time (and i beat a kid with a spyder shutter)i have a spyder compact and my balls would bend down anfter a short distance (about 30 feet)and i just wanted to know weather it was my stock barrel,my volisity wasn't high anof,or ksome thing else?if it was the barrel what kind of barrel should i get that would be under $100?thanks for any help(about the game i got hit in both fists w/out gloves on)it was so cool

sounds like your velocity was way down...Even if it wasn't the barrel, you wanna get a new one. Lapco Bigshots and JJ Ceramics are really cheap (50 dollars), but they are really nice. They are both very accurate, and are just as good as a boomstick.

if your balls were diving down, as apposed to just dropping, maybe you had a ball break, check for paint in your barrel, but yeah, i'd go big shot or J&J ceramic

there you have it, buy a ceramic, bigshots are hard to get anyways.
Volocity probably but I would try squeeging your barrel and maybe cleaning your gun.

it might be squeegee..but it's most likely that your velocity too low..

and how in the HE!! did you beat a shutter..if you couldn't even shoot 30 ft with any accuracy.....
case in point...it's not the gun but the player.....

Well first you should chrono velocity and check the bore size on your balls they are most likely to small.. i dont think that its the barrel, but you will want to get a new barrel anyway spyder stock barrels suck

Would a #32 terminator barrel be good? Also what would be a better upgrade?a new barrel or a rear volisty thumb adjuster? It would be my first upgrade so i'm not sure what i should get i'm leanin towards the barrel but the kid i was playing with(not the shutter 1)had a deadly acressy. The balls were 68 calobor like it said.i cleaned my gun after i played but it was the first time i used that gun.i squged it too.also i heard the a carbin fiber barrel will shater if you hit it up against a tree or a pb hit's it is that true?if so will any other barrel shater like that?
A rear volocity adjuster isnt going to help you at all. YOU NEED A NEW BARREL.Rear volocity adjusters are just for the people that are to lazy to do it the hard way in this case would be me. Rear volocity adjuster is the best invetion for paintball...SO easy.. Tippmann Model 98's suck to turn up or down...Gotta have the wrench.

get a lapco big shot.....if you can find one.....also.....if you had oil on the inside of your barrel that could have caused you problems also...never oil the inside of your barrel.....
an alternative to buying a rear velocity adjuster would be to get a set of springs..about 7-9 dollars....that will help until you do decide to get the velocity adjuster..also it is always good to have a set of springs even if you do get the velocity adjuster.....
Yeah. Pt is right. That would be a really slick move. It would help alot i THINK.
