Just got the Piranha EXT G2 and it is just stock, I haven't gotten any upgrades for it yet. I was wondering if Nitro would make a big difference on my gun, or is the internals (valve, bolts, ect.) not able to handle nitro. I was thinking about buying the pure energy 68 ci 3000 psi steel nitro setup also, if you have any other suggestions of different nitro regs, please post that here also. My local store is no help at all....it seems every time I ask about upgrading anything on my gun, they always say "it wont help much unless you got an autococker". Is that true?? Thanks for posting all!!

I was also wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are for a fiber wrapped nitro reg?? Or is it best to just go with steel?? Thanks again.

Nitro is good. YOu should upgrade. As for which kind of tank, both fiber wrapped and steel are good. THey both have advantages and disadvantages.

Fiber wrapped: They are lighter than steel, and i personally think they look better too. The bad thing is that they are bigger, and they take alot less abuse. You can't get any scratches.

Steel tank: they are heavy, but they are smaller. THey also take alot of abuse. You don't have to worry about not putting any small scratches on these tanks.

Choose whichever you want. I personally am gonna go for a fiber wrapped one. I dont want my gun to be too heavy..

First, don't listen to anyone who's intentionally trying to sell you an Autococker ... Second, your Piranha internals are fine for nitro ... get a preset tank ... at some point if you decide to convert to low pressure, you'll have to fiddle with your internals. preset tanks are just like the a CO2 tank, just screw it into your gun and go play.
