BE along with Wal-Mart has done more than any other producer to get PB into the public eye and help it to grow. Just getting markers on the shelves of Wally World (albeit junky ones) has done wonders for promoting the game/sport. My biggest problem with BE springs from a lousy, lousy customer service experience I had with them years ago. I figure if you are going to sell junk to the public, you had better have the best customer service on the planet to take care of it. They fail miserably in that department.

having mediocre paintball products available at big chain stores like Wal Mart are great for the serious or semi-serious paintball player. However, they also serve as a convenient place for hooligans to purchase cheap paintball markers that they use to shoot other people's property and totally disregard the safety of the people around them. It's people like this that gets remembered by the average non-paintball playing person and brings down the image of our sport. I wish there was some way to sort the paintball players from the immature goons at these stores, but unfotunately there isn't.:(

orbix whos to say these same people that give the sport a bad name didnt get there paintball product from a proshop?

thats true i guess. I was just thinking that proshops (at least mine) dont sell those very cheap BE markers like the Talon, Blade, etc. If someone wanted to buy a marker for the sole purpose of vandalising something, i would guess that they would want the cheapest marker available to them. And since most of these people who deface property with paintball markers are non-players themselves (although some do play paintball), i'd guess that they usually visit Wal Mart more often than a proshop, see the markers at Wal Mart more often than the ones at a proshop (therefore being more inclined to purchase a marker at Wal Mart), and ultimately rather buy the cheapest marker, which would be available at Wal Mart.

I wonder if Brass Eagle knows how much people hate their products. Although they have helped get people into the sport, someone needs to make them realize their products SUCK. The yspend the least amount of time possible mass prudicing markers and accesories that literally crap. But, BE's o-rings and squeegee's are ok. Whenever I am in a rush to play I can just run by Wally World real quick and pick up a few paintball things. But, please, someone, tell them (as in a letter or e-mail) they need to fix it. Those Spyders at Wal-Mart are gonna take their business if they don't fix it up fast and spiffy.

I dont think it matters to them, they have got to be the largest and most well known paintball company in the industry. You may not realize it but BE holds the largest chunk of capital gained though paintball in general. They are making some $$$$$$'z! And no matter what people say about BE products, there is always people out there buying them, or they wouldn't be in business now would they (having JT and viewloader, also helps out hehe)
I dont have a BE marker or anything, but I used to own one. I have nothing against it, but seriously people... This BE bashing thing is getting a little old now. Cant you people live with the fact they exist.
