98c threads?

Hey, i got a barrel and it doesn't fit my 98c. It's the older thread type, i think.:confused:

I have to loosen the front sight and front grip bolt, screw the barrel in, and then tighten the bolts.

This is kinda aggravating. Is there an easier way to screw this barrel in? I tried to find an old/new thread adapter, but i can't. Any home mods are welcome.

I have never heard of this happening before. Are sure that your screws were not overtightened before?

There isn't another way to go about it. I have heard about this happening before though.
