This is disgusting!! I hate these kind of people. I don't care who they are, I just hate them. This is why people think bad about paintball. Because instead of following the rules and play safe, they attack people for no reason. It's a disgrace to paintballers everywhere.
Oh and mods.. I posted this in the news forum but no one was there. :P So I decided to put it in here.

Miami is the most loose when it comes to paintball. They have more paintball fields than broward county which has 0. Still, Florida does have a problem with people calling police as soon as they see an outlaw field. The police understand us, it's just that the civilians don't. The police have to do thier job and ban the field when they get called too much. I am sure now, if I went to another outlaw field, crimestoppers would certainly be called. I don't live in Florida anymore though. If it did get me some airtime on the news I would say, "Only people who are to scared to play REAL paintball and do not show up at a paintball field drive-by shoot, because they are all cowards."

Why does everyone get so excited by paintball drive-by's? Paintball isn't at fault and won't get banned or even blamed for this. Not even gun manufacturers get blamed for most random acts of gun violence.
It's the people's fault for doing it and when they get caught, they go to jail. It's that simple. Just act responsibly and show people paintball can be fun and safe.

If I had a nickel for everytime paintball got taken away because someone did a drive-by, I would have one empty manpurse.

You people are nieve if you believe that paintball can never be harmed or banned. This may be your opinion, but surely not of those that sit on Capitol Hill.

And how long have paintball vandals been around? Since thebeginning of the sport. How many times has paintball been banned? None.
It's not going to happen. Spend your energy educating people about how safe it can be if played properly. If someone you know does something stupid like drive-by's, then call the cops and turn them in.

We know it can't get banned, but we don't want paintball to look bad.
I told a busdriver that this kid who will remain nameless considered playing paintball fulltime like pro teams and the busdriver scoffed and laughed at the idea. A freakin busdriver...Jeez, if she wasn't giving me a ride home, I would've said in what position are you to say that--you're a busdriver.
After she laughed, she said well he should stop wasting his time with a pretend war sport and join the army. Maybe he can be like Colin Powell, a famous general whose grades are terrible.
Paintball looks bad because of this crap and people start thinking its pretend war. If anything airsoft is more war-like than paintball, but I'm not here to argue that. Seriously, think about it.
I'm not dissing out busdrivers, but it isn't a job everyone wants.

I play paintball as a wargame, not a sport. I'm not interested in running down a narrow course trying to eliminate the other team and grab the flag. I want to go play soldier!
Why don't I join the army? Let's see, you could die for real, plus I have medical excuses so I can't join anyhow.

When someone says to me paintball guns are dangerous I ask them why then don't complain about baseball when a store gets robbed with a baseball bat or why they don't complain about cooking when someone gets knifed.

radius, no one is asking you to go join the army:eyes:. if you like your "wargame" then play it. however i am begging you, for the survival of the positive image of paintball, that you not call it that if you are ever on tv. thats all the prozac-addicted soccer moms in this country need is to hear paintball called a wargame on national tv.

To most people I call it a sport, even though that's completely dependant on how you play.
If anyone ever asks me about the whole paintball thing I tell them it's like any other sport. If you don't follow the rules or fail to wear the right safety gear, you're going to get hurt. But that's true with most sports so really there's no problem.
And then I tell them how I like to play. That sometimes gets me some weird looks from people.
As for the joning the army comment, it was specifically aimed at those who think anyone who likes to play soldier should join the army. I disagree with that point of view.
