Supp, I was actually intrested in upgrading from CO2 to HPA, and I had a couple questions that i needed answered... Before you flame, dont. I've searched this forum and you wouldnt beleive how many post have the words N2 Compressed Air, HPA etc... I've even went to Warpig.com to check in there "Rookie" section and "Technical" section... But to assure you Im not a newbie to the sport to this forum yes, but i've Been playing for about 3 1/2 years in those three years I've owned different markers and used C02 with all of them... I want to upgrade to HPA to get a more consistent shot, i dont really care about how good it performs in COLD weather just because I live in California and it doesnt get any colder then 45 degrees but it rarely even gets that cold... Right now i am currently shooting a Piranha G2, but I am gonna get rid of that and upgrade to either a Cocker or a Mag, anyway my questions are What is the difference between

Pre-Set Output
and
Adjustable Output on the tank

I kinda get an idea of what it is, but I wanna be sure on that... and if its better to have one or the other...

the next question is Do i need any special Expansion chambers, Regulators, Drop Forward Cradles ???

other question is can I still use the REMOTE/COIL I use for my C02 ??

last question... PSi wise what is the benefit of having a 3000psi tank to a 4500psi tank and about how many shots woudl you get from a 47cu tanks oppose to a 68cu (ok so i said last question shoot me, I tried to sneak another in...)

Thanks so much in advance, I really appreciate from just monitoring the boards for the last 2 months you guys really help peeps out, oh yah ! btw if you want you can give me your input on a good tank to start off with I've been looking at the ACI Aluminum 47 cu. or the ACI Fiber-Wrapped 68 cu, I kinda wanna stay away from fiber-wrapped because I am a clumsy person... dont want it to leak =0 if dropped...

Try posting this in the General Paintball Forum...it seems more experienced players would view this thread and technically this isnt a "Newcomers" thread since you've been playing for 3 1/2 years.

ohhhhhh kay. First off, preset vs adjustable, means what it looks like, preset will have an output pressure of 750 or 800 psi all the time. Adjustable will leave you with the option to change your pressure. However, good adjustable tanks like the armageddon or conquest or even angel A.I.R will run upwards of 400 dollars, inexpensive ones like the bulldog however, wont give you as great recharge rate or consistency. If you want adjustable input going into your gun to run low pressure, without spending a ton of money, a good option is to get a preset tank, and have an inline regulator in place of your grip/expansion chamber. That way you will get good recharge from your tank, and good consistency from your regulator, best of both worlds so to speak. Presets usually come in a screw in format, that will let you add it right onto your gun, where the CO2 would go into, without needing to make any changes or get special mountings. 47-68 tanks, naturally the bigger will give you more shots, 68 is a good size, because it's still pretty small, while offering a good deal of shots (roughly 800), and a 47 is smaller than you need. Fiber wrapped tanks almost half as much as steel tanks, and for that reason I would recommend them over steal, Since you're worried about scratches, buy a neoprene tank cover, for 15 dollars and you wont have to worry about damaging your tank. 4500 psi tanks will give you 150% the amount of shots a 3000psi tank would give, that's the only difference. So if you got 1000 shots off a 3000psi, you'd get 1500 off a 4500 psi. Hope that helps, any more questions feel free to ask

Well, I sorta answered em, in a roundabout way, and sorry about missing that one word, makes more sense now :) What I meant, is a screw in tank will go anywhere a CO2 tank would. It's just a replacement deal, no changes neccesary, will go vertical, remote, bottomline, whatever, if a CO2 tank can screw in, a nitro tank can. So yes you can use remote. As for extra stuff, you dont need anything with a screw in tank, a non screw in, you will need a cradle as well as some hose (stainless steel or macroline) and some fittings to attach the hose
