I've heard of the response trigger being a gas hog on the a5. However, the cyclone feed runs on air also. So, does the r/t on a 98c have better efficiency since it doesn't have the cylone?

P.S. I'm runnin' co2 if that helps any

thanx:)

no, it doesn't use a lot but you will use more CO2.

The 98 Custom is more efficient with the R/T. Also, if you're using CO2, get an expansion chamber.

Ok, for the 1000th time, the r/t does not use more gas. It uses excess gas. The A-5 cyclone feed also uses excess gas.

well, i know a guy that had an a5 with response and he was constantly refilling his tank.

Also, if you're using CO2, get an expansion chamber

I have an expansion chamber, check sig.

it doesnt use any more gas it just uses the excess gas :censored:

the R/T kit runs off the excess gasses from re-cocking it equals basically zero difference in gas efficiency.

you dont have to get an expansion chamber... you could.... anti-siphon your c02 and get a regulator.... go HPA and get a regulator... or buy me a rocket to fly me to the moon:goody:

a buddy of mine used to run two 98, one with an r/t, one w/o

he got 500 shots out of a 20oz with the r/t

no x-chamber, though

and electroneurotic and tippmann98 where did you get that information? from the guyz at tippmann? who says they cant lie? do you even have an r/t? it may say that it uses "excess gas" but that doesnt mean it's true. i have used tippmanns with and without r/ts and found dramatic differences in air efficiency. it and the cyclone feed both use EXTRA gas to function. not excess. i have thoroughly tested this.
