"We found we could get approximately 20 more feet of ball travel from the rifled barrels with reverse porting and counter-boring"
- quote Robert Judson Hammerhead Marketing
I hear good things, great things, and not so good things. I have a hard time believing there's a difference in range, I wouldn't even be asking except ^^ that's a pretty bold statement. I'm VERY hard pressed to read it, let alone believe it. But, I haven't done any scientific testing, so I'll pose the question. Is there any real difference in accuracy/range over any conventional barrels?

I read the article in APG as well and was very interested in the barrel afterwards, but sceptic. Not only did he fill the article with confusing physics junk, he himself wrote it all saying the barrel in question, the Stickxx I think it's called, is the perfect paintball barrel. I haven't heard from anyone with that barrel in particular but I know people with the other rifled barrel from them who say they don't see any difference in accuracy or distance when compairing it to other high quality barrels. But they are very nice barrels none the less, and VERY quite.

Thx for the reply. I like the fact that they're quiet, I just think 20 more feet of range is a bit much. I think if it were true, it would be common knowledge by now and everyone would be copying the design, I wouldn't have to ask..

guess what! does it seem odd to you that a paintball traveling at 300 FPS will travel exactly the same as another paintball traveling at 300 FPS?
it seems allot of the features listed for the hammerhead are useless and generaly untruthful spam.
