Are you walking the trigger as fast as they are? Do you have your trigger fine tuned to your liking? Is your battery fresh?
As for the velocity, you can never really tell until you put it over a chrono.

It has something to do with the fact that you have an imagine, I imagine.
all kidding aside, it's probably either that you don't walk very well (do you wear gloves?)
You could also just not be loading fast enough, do you have some sort of agitated loader?

says the person with an e-99;)
anyways you probably suck at walking. i doubt its the hopper because if you were using a gravity feed you would chop like crazy. just to make sure it isnt the gun get one of your friends to shoot it, if they can rip (using the term loosely) on it then you know you need to practice walking.

y would it be the walking. the paintballs go down when i shoot

I'm confused, are you talking about how fast the paintballs travel or how fast you can shoot them?

it is a cheap one. those 3 dollar ones. could it be the paintballs i used diablo heat

Or it could be the fact that that hopper with that gun is like Chill and the Brady campaign.

paintballs arent bullets, they will always drop after a while. if your gun isnt going as far as theirs then either they are shooting really hot, you are shooting really low, or both.

I think the first thing to do would be to take it to a pb shop and shoot a few rounds thru a chrono. see what your velocity is. also, what kind of marker are you using, and whats the setup on it?

Are you experiencing FSDO? That's sounds like what you're saying. Balls goes noticably downward and the velocity is slow. Is that what you mean?

a yah they go all over down and stuff i have to go up close to hit the person. would a spring kit make a difference. and wut is setup

spring kit NEVER hurts :)
setup- like what kind of hopper you are using, what barrel you have, what kind of air, stuff like that.
yeah, it definitely sounds like you've got something wrong, either that or your barrel needs cleaned out, reallllllllllly bad.

so springs kit dont work and i dont have any upgrades on it. it is just the stock barrel

sorry... you misunderstood. I'm saying, go with a spring kit, or spring mod. its very easy, or very cheap. But, I dont think its gonna help with your velocity problem.

Spring kits DO help with velocity.

agreed. I never intended to say that it didnt. Ok, here's what I SHOULDA said- "I'm saying go with a spring kit...." But based on whats been said so far, I dont think that its going to be the only solution to FIXING the velocity problem".
And I'm not enough of a techie for markers yet, that I could tell ya what all of the causes could be.

Well, your friends markers are identical in every aspect other than looks to yours. Guess you're the smart one and saved some $! Anyways, if the paintball doesn't go far, you need to turn your velocity up. That's the only thing that will affect it. Go to a field or proshop with a chronograph and check the speed of your marker and your friends' markers. Turn them down/up to 260-290fps. I suggest 260-270 because if you run co2 and shoot fast, velocity can spike up about 40fps and become dangerous. If your velocity won't go up any higher, you're probably starving your marker. Use stainless hose on a spyder only, and screw your tank in as far as it will go. You may have a bad bottomline (kingman always screws them up as far as I've experienced) and need replacing... Test the chrono first. Everyone's paintballs should land a ballpark distance of 120-150 feet when shooting flat. Much higher and they're shooting dangerous speeds. Lower, and you're shooting too slow.

If they're curving really bad and spiralling you really need to clean out your gun thoroughly, especially the barrel first. Next, make sure your paint is a good match to your barrel. If your problem is velocity, you will probably need to get a spring kit. If a spring kit breaks balls, then you've got a problem because you're probably losing a lot of gas efficiency somewhere. For example, when you polish your internals, your velocity increases because of increased gas efficiency. This allows you to turn your markers velocity adjuster down, which allows lower PRESSURE to be put on the ball, meaning less breaks.
A little off-topic, but educational :D

Velocity?
Velocity has nothing to do with walking; walking pertains to how quickly you can pull a double trigger.
If it's velocity, and the spring going in doesn't help, I have an idea as well
If you've ever taken the gun apart, make sure you look up a diagram online that shows how it goes back together. My friend had a Spyder that he put back together wrong, and it killed his velocity.
As simple as Imagines are, aside from that electronic trigger, I'd think it'd be something like this. Imagines are just air in, hammer goes when you pull the trigger. No regulator or expansion chamber at all.
Take it up to a paintball store, and not Wal-Mart or a general sports store. They can probably look at it and fix it really easy-like. Maybe you need new springs, but I get the feeling it's something simple.

Restate your question in perfect grammar and punctuation so that we can help you better. I still don't understand what you're asking of us. Will the gun not shoot X amount of balls per second or will the gun shoot the balls very slowly?

You're positive?

based on those comments, my opinion is that its velocity.
a few of my other thoughts are that it could be a bad regulator, or cold affecting the balls/poorly stored or old balls, or it could be Co2. But, nothing has been said by him/her to give me any support for those lines of thought.

If it's ROF, make sure to turn the board on the "red" modes and not green ones when using ****ty burst or ****ty full auto. If its velocity, chrono it. I bet you're shooting a good FPS and your friends are shooting hot like idiots.

Alright guys, it's apparent that this guy made the thread and hasn't checked back in. I propose no more posting for the sake of avoiding a heated debate over something that the guy isn't even checking on. I am not closing this because if the guy actually comes back to check on the thread, he may wish to post in it.

My Spyder Rodeo is having a problem. Occasionally when I fire rapidly with paint in the marker, the bolt will decock. I am using HPA and the gun has few upgrades. I am worried because I will be buying an electronic frame soon and I want this problem solved before then.
