There's a barrel thread above with many recommendations, but it's seldom very active.

From what I've gathered here, the J&J Ceramic 12" barrel is a favorite, as is the Lapco Bigshot. 12" - 14" are considered the best lengths, also.

I currently have a Dye Aluminum I bought from a friend, but a 12" J&J Ceramic is being shipped currently.

Yeah, I heard the J&J ceramic barrels are really nice. I've held one, they are extremly light and smooth. I also heard if you chop a paintball, you don't even have to sgeegee it, just dry fire a couple times. to clean it out I don't know if that is correct or not, I just heard it. The Lapco bigshot is also another highly recommended barrel. I have a Smart Parts progressive, which is really nice. Its accurate, fairly quiet, and looks good. So far I have only chopped one ball and it was an egg shapped BE paintball.

My setup:
-98 custom
-Smart parts progressive
-GTA expansion chamber
-Thunder pig tactical drop forward
-double trigger
-12 volt revolution

What paint works best with a J&J ceramic. I'm hoping Marballizers, though I have nearly 6000 Great America balls right now.

Marballizers shouldn't have a problem in a J&J ceramic barrel.

The length of a barrel beyond 10 inches doesn't matter because the accracy of the paintball is determined in the first 8 - 10 inches of a barrel. Once reason the bigshot only comes in 11.5 inch size.
I love my bigshot so i would recommend that, the only thing is im not really sure what kind of paint would be best to use in it as im still expirimenting with that :|

The best barrel to paint match that ive found for my Bigshot is the Team Colors paint.

Midnights and Blaze work well too.

All range from $50-$60 per case.
