Hey Just a quick question. I know everyone recommends Pb specific oils but would household 3in1 oil be harmful to my marker.orings? I just disassembled my marker changed the o-rings and oiled them with this oil. Was this a very bad thing to do?

I juts ordered some gold cup for $5.00. I now have anew question. Since I already placed the 3in1 in my gun should I worry about cleanign it out or would wiping off the bolt and striker suffice?

I would probably just wipe off the bolt and striker and reoil the marker with the Gold cup. Some of the members of this forum swear that 3in1 works great in markers so I doubt you did inrepairable damage. At most you may have accelerated the wear of your O-rings. 3 in 1 might be ok but I prefer to be sure and recommend only using oil intended for Pb. Besides, that $5 bottle of oil will last a long time. I've had the same bottle for 5 years and its still over half full.

I just use silicone spray in my guns, never had a problem and haven't replaced an o-ring in 5 years.

Well i figured silicone spray for airsoft would work greta since the gas systems are the same and its made to preserve airsoft seals. ALso in airsoft you cant change your seals so it HAS to work.

Yep, it should work just fine. Basically you don't want anything petrollium based or anything that is harmful to rubber or plastics. If you ever put WD40 into your marker, you'll learn why you shouldn't use it. :)
