I go to high school and I'm the only one in my city with a paintball team. I got one of my friends that's in 8th grade to start paintballing and now the whole 8th grade is into paintballing and theres all these noobs that are buying this expensive equpiment and markers and saying they want stuff they never tried but they want b/c it looks good and is expensive. Also the one's who never played thionk they can pwn everyone and they barely know the difference between a timmy and a tooth brush. Has anyone had this happen locally to them and how didi you deal with it???

haha, same happened with me.. umm i pretty much just let it blow by... give it time... Oh, and go to some real paintball fields with team practices and such, that way you can meet some tournament players... you'll get along with them better,

All the guys at my school except for the few that I play with are into the whole A-5 is the best, and they need 50" barrels to win. They have no idea that I could take them all on give me three of my friends from the field.

I also see kids with toxic matrixes as their first guns or other high end guns for their first guns. A shop isn't going to tell rich parents they should spend $150 instead of $1000...

get PVC pipe, cut it into 21 inch pieces, spray paint it, put an M-16 type shroud on it and tell them it is a precision sniper barrel. Sell them for at least $100.

More the marry er. It just sucks for me as the only people I know that paintball are my shop guys and the people I meet at the field. All of my friends call me an idiot for spending the amount of money on my gear that I did and furthermore call me an idiot for shooting fast when all you need is a sniper barrel. Mind you this is coming from guys who have only rented once or twice :pissed:

Everyone in my highschool is all "im a super sniper" or "speedball sucks, i play in my back field" or better yet "pods are lame"
thank god 2 of my team mates go to my school or i'd die.
Oddly enough my 11 year old sister has influenced her entire grade 6 class to get guns and play for her team and such.
They all challenge me.

Yeah but then you ruin the next crop of paintballers to come through. Be patient with them and show them the error of their ways. I get asked all the time, "Oh you have a pump? That's the most accurate gun out here isn't it?" Some people just don't know any better so explain stuff to them instead of "owning" them on the field....unless they're being a jerk, then by all means do it.
